Here's a FAST review of ChiChops in La Paz, Makati City:F (food) - The food is great considering the prices. Their fried chicken is not the typical fried chicken you order at fast-food restaurants. The burgers are tasty and just right the right size. They also offer smoothies that are milk based, non-milk based, and yogurt based. A (ambiance) - The place is quite small but just enough to be comfortable. The lighting, music and interior design are perfect for group meetings or just chilling alone. S (service) - The waiter is accomodating and immediately attends to our every request. The food was prepared neatly and fast. T (tip) - I prefer this place rather than the nearby fast-food restaurants. I don't know why but I really like their iced tea. Try it if you want!

Cute little spot near my place that serves good and affordable food.I've always wondered what this place is. After all, going home from the gym I've always passed by this place. So after workout, I decided to get my sister and I's meal here. It's an open kitchen, you can see them preparing/frying your food. It's therapeutic, really, to watch them do this in such a relaxed and happy manner. Although, I would suggest for them to clean up the glass. Oil splattered all over is not a pretty sight to see. FRIED CHICKEN IS FIRE! Properly seasoned, extra crispy skin, tender meat.. check check check. It tasted somewhere between Southern Fried Chicken and Indian Spiced Fried Chicken. NAPAKASARAP. The butter coating for the buttered chicken just helped boost their classic tasting chicken. Nadisappoint ako na dalawa lang binili ko, sana pala walo baka sakali mas sumaya ako.Chicken Biryani is oh gosh so delish!! The fact that they served it with actual long grain biryani at the cheapest price possible. Bakit hindi ka babalik?Rose Lassi, normal. FRIED CHICKEN is the best! I wish they were situated somewhere with parking space. Sayang. Sige okay lang, tayo tayo na lang. HEHE

I don't get the hype the other people are giving this place. This was our second time coming here, the first being that we only bought samosas for take out. We noticed that on our first time coming here, one of the crew members were swatting flies with an electric fly swatter (the one that looks like a badminton racket).Apparently, this wasn't a one-time thing as when we came on over again, we were welcomed in by the owner who was the one doing the fly-swatting. This is obviously unsanitary, and since it's been some time (2 weeks) since we last came here and the fly problem is still there, obviously the owners of this joint aren't doing anything permanent to fix this.As for the food, the only one that stood out was the samosas (P28), which tasted just fine even without the sauce. Do not order their chicken special with the puttanesca pasta - the pasta was cold and soggy, and the sauce was excruciatingly bland (it looked more like water mixed with some ketchup and tomato bits).  The Biryani chicken was cold and neither was the rice that was served with it, which I expected the sauce to be creamier. There wasn't anything special with their smoothies either (mangobanana yogurt-based smoothie). That, and they serve service water on tap to their guests. It's very much apparent that the owner seems to be cheaping out on the ingredients. Come eat here if you're wanting to eat some "Indian" food on a budget - eating at a carinderia would be a lot better; if you do come here, best bet is to just have samosas for take-out and go.
