Let's try again.  I did this review when I just visited the restaurant and it GOT DELETED!  Shame on you website!Special occasion, visitor from overseas, wanted a steak after being on the road for a long time.  Picked a decent wine (not great, a bit overpriced, even for restaurant standards) - Out of stock.  Okay, let's try this other one - Out of stock.  Had to settle with a sub-par wine from an already sub-par list.Visitor doesn't eat steak. Choose lamb.  - Out of stock.   At this point I was so embarrassed that I almost walked out. I should have. Worse was still to come.  Fries were translucent with dripping fat, obviously previously frozen and probably thawed. No crunch, no good flavor. I held some hope.  Asked for the bone marrow (2 of them).  Great idea, horrible execution. One was undercooked (not good for bone marrow)...  fat was white, cold, still adhered to bone.  I returned that one.  Steaks were thin (we were told they were 1 inch thick - no chance), overcooked and oversalted. No dessert, thank you.  Got the check.  Two bone marrows charged.  Long story short, they would not take that off my bill. They said they still had it, and could re-cook it and put it for me to go, but wouldn't take it off my bill.  I paid for it just to avoid the continued embarrasment with my visitor. But I said I would write an appropriate review.  And I did. And it lasted 2 days, until website (or  someone close to them) deleted it.   Let's see how long this sticks.

Chop Chicago steakhouse has a free bread which my grand daughter loves while waiting for our food. The French Onion Soup is a bit strong in taste while the charbroiled slab of ham, the 21 oz and 8 oz steak is a heaven for steak lover. And there also french fries for the kids

The last few years have seen a dramatic improvement in the local supply of high-quality steak meat from key sources like the US, Australia, and New Zealand. A visit to Chops will thus give you the chance to sample many kinds of steak - from wagyu, to porterhouse, to T-bone and striploin steaks at various prices - anywhere between P1,200 to several thousand pesos. The menu also carries ginormous Tomahawk steaks which I think will cost somewhere close to P10,000 (one has to check), good to share among 3-4 people. But you get what you pay for, and Chops lets you share, thank god. Because if you didn't, you may not have room for all the side dishes and appetizers also listed on the menu. Like most visitors to this place, we go for their creamy Caesar Salad, their truffled mac and cheese, and the bacon-broccoli side dishes to go with steak. The steak, cooked to your preference, arrives on a chopping board, seared expertly and allowed to rest a few minutes before it's delivered to the table. You'll know, because the juices won't run all over the place when your waiter cuts the juicy slab into thick pieces; you can, of course, cut it up yourself. You'll have a choice of gravy - but in my opinion, the steak is so good, I hardly touch it. You'll get bread, and butter, and food is served rather quickly, which I think it is an asset for lunch - not necessarily for dinner. Incidentally, there are four tables with a rounded sofa seating and round tables; up to six can sit around this setup, but they're also the best seats for a cozy date, offering the kind of privacy that's really hard to find in restaurants nowadays. I haven't had the chance to pair my steak dinners there with wine, but I'm sure I'll come around to it. There's good coffee, supplied from Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and of course there's dessert. If I were to make a suggestion, I'd ask them to offer much lighter items for dessert, like sorbets, and emphasize their tea selection. Chops looks promisingly reliable, and I hope they keep the crowd coming - because they've got something good going on here, and it'd be a shame if you guys missed it.

Shrimp Cocktail (Old Bay seasoned chilled cocktail shrimp, grilled lemon and horseradish cocktail sauce) – 275Php It was served in a cocktail glass with the shrimps hanging on the tip. A beautifully cooked shrimp that has a sassy snap and a clean, smooth, nearly fruity flavor. It is best to eat it with your fingers, dipping it into the sweet, spicy bright red sauce.14oz. USDA Certified Angus Beef (grain-fed) – 1200Php eachServed in a chopping board as the name suggests. You can feel that the beef is of topnotch quality. It was served freshly cooked while cutting in the midpoint of the steak, an immense steam and sweet smell overpowers you. A meat melting even before it reached you mouth. The steak was cooked just the way I like it (Medium Well).Creamed Spinach with Organic Egg – 90PhpOur anticipation for this one is way too high. It’s not dull but not lively either. I like the presentation though; looking at it reminds me of childhood toys you spent playing luto-lutuan. =)Truffle Mac and Cheese – 90PhpTwo thumbs up. The mac was cooked AL DENTE with creamy and generous heaps of cheesy sauce. Truffle Mac and Cheese is highly recommended.Classic French Béarnaise – 60PhpNot quite sure how to make this but my friend had better.Mushroom Truffle Demi Glaze – 60 PhpNot the best sauce, better tagged this as fine.Ambience is good since we dined during dinner. It has a calming effect not quite sure on anytime of the day.ü Service is excellent. They fill up your glasses as soon as they noticed it was empty. ü Restroom is clean.ü The only branch.ü FREE Wi-Fi.ü Accepts credit card.ü +10% service charge.ü Total Bill 3000+ Php < HAPPINESS

My friend and I didn't get the steaks. We just wanted to drink and munch on appetizers. If they were gonna offer them on the menu, why not do a good job?She got the burger with caramelized onions. The patty fell apart and the meat looked white. Looks can be deceiving but this one didn't - it tasted as awful as it looked. I tell you Langhap Sarap was better than this.I got the calamari. I thought my gums were going to bleed. The breading was too hard that it took alot of chewing before it crumbled in my mouth.AVOID!

Come to CHOPS in Greenbelt or EDSA Shangri-la for sumptuous carnivore food without breaking your wallet. I love steak, preferably Rib Eye, medium, with pink in the middle. Same goes for the hubby. Chops takes it to the next level with their in-house rub. I haven't quite figured the spices yet but I will leave it as a mystery that we can enjoy with their mashed potatoes, buttered corn, veggies and more. MUST: Rib Eye with their house rub and au jus, appetizers mentioned above PLUS their Macaroni and Cheese. Also, try their Bone Marrow. Heaven If you're on a vegan diet, their portobello steak is scrumptious too. One wish, and why I've only scored them a four this time is, for Chops to please bring back the foie gras creme brûlée. PLEASE!Kain!

I order their cab steak (beef tenderloin) and, unfortunately, it was a little overcooked. I requested for a medium cook and I was given a medium well steak BUT, it was still very good. The truffle Mac n cheese on the side was flavorful My dad ordered the rib-eye with asparagus on the side and his steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare). The knife cut through his steak like butter and the seasoning was A+. My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE part of Chops is their complimentary bread! Best bread I have ever tasted in my life (and no, I'm not exaggerating) light, fluffy, warm, and extremely tasty.A little pricey but, I'm definitely going back :D

I made my reservation for 6. My family of 5 and a good friend of ours visiting from abroad. We were looking for a memorable night out. Oh boy, I was so far out from the right place. I'll be a specific as possible, so you can gauge if I'm being unfair.1. My family and I arrived first. Only some places on the table had cloth napkins. Most had paper. Bad first impression.2. I advised the waitress that my friend would be in a few min. later. They removed his table setting. Twice. They set it up again. They came back 3 times, in 5 minutes, asking if we've made up our mind re: food selection. 3. It took like 10 min. to find the wine list. There's a lot more about service... but let's focus on the food1. We asked for the lamb chops. Sorry, we're out. SERIOUSLY?2. I asked for a bottle of a french shiraz. Sorry, no available. Strike two.3. Got 2 bone marrows. One was grossly undercooked, with some of the fat still firmly attached to the bone... white in color. Obviously, returned it.4. Steaks had a sweet-ish flavor to them. Almost like they sprinkled a bit of sugar on top. Poorly seasoned, overcooked. 5. A rib eye is typicaly 2 in. thick. Steaks were barely 1 cm. thick. Yet, it took over 30 min to bring over.6. Steaks proudly advertised as "grain fed". I appreciate the honesty, but it's not something you should be proud of.7. Fries over-done, not hand-cut as advertised, obviously frozen pre-cut, dripping oil, translucent. Macaronni and cheese tasted like out of a kraft box, only with added coloring.8. Chimichurri sauce was terrible, made with the wrong parsley (it must be italian) and god knows what type of olive oil. It certainly was not extra virgin. But the vinaigrette onions were not bad.Time for the check. After we decided the meal was awful enough so as to order desserts, got the check. Two bone marrows. I asked for one to be taken out. Sorry, can't. We can re-cook the one that was raw, and you can take it home with you.... WHAT???????????????????Stay AWAY from this place. Don't ruin your business or family dinner.

We've been saving our visit to Chops for a special occasion, so we found the perfect time to go a day after Christmas. The restaurant itself was inviting with nice warm colors and spacious booths, of which we were directed towards to have our seat.Servers were polite, very accommodating and friendly, making sure that our dining experience was awesome.Since we were really really hungry and we had a lot of gift certificates to spend, we ordered the following: Four Cheese Oysters, Cab Rib Eye Steak 21oz, Prawn Society, Lucky Luciano, Baked Mac and Cheese, Menage A Trois (Chops' signature banana split) - all these for just 2 people! Of course some were wrapped up to go, but we thoroughly enjoyed every dish as they all tasted amazing!Although the restaurant specializes in steaks, which by the way were excellent in taste and were cooked perfectly (medium), their pasta dishes are actually also as good to the point that one does not have to dine here just for the steak. To top things off, we ordered their Menage A Trois for dessert, their own version of a banana split. Presentation was really beautiful and the taste was ohhh so good,  that we would have ordered another one if we were not as full as we had been.Overall, the place is expensive, but rightfully so as the dishes are all just that good! A high quality meal that is worth every penny.

Not impressed at all. Ordered the Fillet Mignon and it was such a total let down. Ordered it Well Done and they gave us medium well. Plus it was so salty! Also had Country Style Steak which was also a let down -- it was very salty as well! Very, very disappointed. I don't understand the 4.0 and 4.5 ratings for this place. I don't think I'll come back here again. BUT! The saving grace is the very pretty interiors and the very friendly and knowledgeable waiters. Looks like they have a good understanding of the food.
