My new fave Tex-Mex place. Food is amazingly affordable, the servings are huge, the place is comfy and chill. The steak burrito bowl surpassed my expectations (probably because of the sour cream, jalapeno and guacamole) plus the Nacho Grande was more than enough for a group of 4 people. I like this place.

Chihuahua Mexican grill's interior is just okay... The choice of spices are great, but it's not really well sanitized. I am not sure if it's something usual, but when we visited there around lunchtime, a cockroach fell from the ceiling and i almost fainted... It gave me the impression on the overall cleanliness of the resto so I ended up ordering their nachos instead. It was not a good first time for me. :( too bad since I love Mexican food but having that thing inside their resto just says a lot about the place...

Although the flavors weren't too spectacular, the food is great for just chilling with their variety of beer. The prices were reasonable and the servings were huge. One order of nachos kept me full the entire day.

This is one place in Makati you should visit. What are they famous for? Their Burritos. And its worth the patronage. We went here on a quiet Wednesday night and tried their menu. Their Pork Carnitas Tacos were really good! The homemade salsa blends well with the meat. The Nacho Grande proved to be a challenge - the big serving and the generous ingredients should be shared. Their Chili is so far the best tasting chili for me. The mixture of a tomato based sauce, red beans and ground beef provided a happy smile after each scoop. Saving the best for last, their Angus Beef Burrito is great! Its served in an unusual deconstructed way where you have the mix all the ingredients - think of a Korean Bibimbap. The price range is fair and reasonable given the serving and the deleciousness. Be warned though, parking is tough.

I love Mexican food. Chihuahua serves it simple and fast. Orders are big for Philippines standards. Margaritas come from the dispenser which makes it super fast and easy. Vegetables are fresh. You get enough choices of hot sauces which makes a huge difference in food taste! So try out the different sauces first before you pour it all over your burrito!

Chihuahua Grill is the type of place people go to before and after a night out of drinking (the place is open way past midnight from Monday to Saturday). What's great about this place is that you get to create your own meal. You get to select your own meat, wrap, side dish and drink. Don't worry if you have a hard time choosing since their friendly staff will readily give you suggestions. One of the most memorable things about the place is that their walls are filled with bottles of hot sauce. One would have to come back more than once just to try them all. There are so many choices that, during my last visit, some bottles are still unopened!

Chihuahua Mexican Grill and Margarita Bar is a Mexican food lover’s paradise. Their offerings are so much a marriage of Mexican and Texan food and flavors. First and foremost, we had the classic favorites: three types of nachos, namely Chips & Queso “Special” (PHp 195), Steak Nachos (PHp 385) and Chicken Nachos (PHp 345) which all had corn, salsa, grilled pepper and onions. The Chips & Queso “Special” was made with queso and some chili con carne; the Steak Nachos, with tender, char-grilled, perfectly marinated American beef; and the Chicken Nachos, with lean marinated breast. All were really tasty and the matching condiments were as well rich and intense. After having a bit of everything, it was hard to say which I preferred the most. The nachos were crisp and crunchy. The toppings worked harmoniously with the delicious corn flavor. It seemed almost like a rare deal when the dish was served to us warm. I loved that melted cheese was still runny-rich and viscous and not a state where it had already cooled and thickened. What I also liked was the mix of quality ingredients in a bowl.Next were two types of burritos, the “pride and joy of Chihuahua.” The Mini-Me Burritos (PHp 225) are lighter, less packed but just-as-good-yet-smaller portion of the original 12-inch sized award-winning burrito. The Two-bean Burrito (PHp 135), an entry-level burrito worthy of the coveted Chihuahua brand, can suit vegetarians’ taste best. It is made with smoky refried beans, Mexican rice, black beans, creamy queso, and chipotle salsa, wrapped in the 10-inch soft flour tortilla.Thirdly, we had two different viands of brilliant quesadillas: the Veggie Quesadilla (PHp 385) and the Chicken Spinach Quesadilla (PHp 495). These quesadillas look like a large Mexican pizza made with two toasted flour tortillas held together by three kinds of cheese. Both were served with pico de gallo, chipotle salsa, sour cream and guacamole.I tried a slice of each but I could not just finish the whole thing. There was a lot going on upon the first bite. I thought the Veggie Quesadilla was more delicious, since the corn kernels, grilled peppers, onions and zucchini had a good contrast. On the other hand, the overall taste of Chicken Quesadilla was not as appealing to my taste buds, but I liked it, too! This quesadilla was made with grilled marinated chicken breast and butter-sautéed spinach with garlic, onion and cilantro.Coming soon are the Steak Quesadilla (PHp 545) with grilled USDA beef, onions and peppers; the Carnitas Quesadilla (PHp 485) with slow-cooked pork, red onions, and cilantro; and the Picadillo Quesadilla (PHp 465) with spicy ground beef and red onions. For a good Mexican dessert, we closed the deal with Chihuahua’s Banana Nutella Quesadilla (small PHp 195, large PHp 345), which had a firm but moist patty. Each bite was nice, juicy and nutella-flavored, thanks to the following ingredients: Nutella®, Jiffy’s Peanut Butter® and then topped with vanilla ice cream, cinnamon, shaved almonds and cajeta (a Mexican caramel similar to dulce de leche). The fresh bananas were responsible for the hint of sweetness. Yum! :PWe washed all the food down with Strawberry Frozen Margarita which was made with real tequila. It was nicely tart but wasn’t too fruity or too sweet for me. As a “powerful cocktail drink,” this margarita was a little less syrupy than most versions I’ve tried in other bars. The acidity was adequate and the drink didn’t come with an unpleasant aftertaste.Read more at http://rochkirstin.com/review-of-chihuahua-mexican-grill-and-margarita-bar-makati-city/

Chihuahua is your typical texmex resto with a twist. It's really known to not only serve heaps of awesome mexican food but heaps of fun as well. Their menu is refreshingly easy. No frills no fancy options. You get burrito, taco, salad your choice of meat and add ons. That's it. There are the other appetizers, maybe 3 of them. It takes away the burden of the "hmmmmmm what will i have today" internal debates. I love this. And even more so, I love that you will have a harder time with the spice rack than with what you want to eat. The famous charlie sheen hotsauce is pretty damn good, and a definite must try. Apart from their hot sauces, they have a tray of different kinds of chilis - jalapeno is a staple for me and I take two little bowls of this every time. Of course, what's texmex without a margarita! Their margarita was perfectly blended. Very good job. What i also find amuusing about this restaurant is that it has its personal touch. This particular branch has its owner and his wife hanging out there all the time, and they are really accommodating. They have concept nights like salsa night (the dancing and the side! lol), game night, trivia night etc. There's a bunch of pictures on the wall of some of their customers in amazing / funny / romantic moments and you could spend hours looking through all of them! For a different texmex experience, go to Chihuahua. You'll both have fun and be incredibly full, I promise you.
