The first of the mini food crawl by website and Citibank. There were a gazillion of us food fanatics that went to this trip. Three kinds of burgers were served to us. It is definitely better than my last trip when their meat was overly greasy. This time its controlled and clean without compromising juiciness. My favorite and can be yours too is their 5 cheese. Its wrapped with gouda, mozzarella, blue cheese, cheddar and cheese sauce. It's integrated to your bite and the mixture of each cheese character just makes me a happy eater. They gave us Wagyu and Angus burger versions as well. The two are quite similar. Quality and tender meats. Angus has more fat thus with a stronger salty flavor. The Wagyu was melt in your mouth. They are continuing the challenge of the burger wars with 8 Cuts their closest rival. They will soon to launch bigger burgers. Watch for 1 kilo burger that can kill you with a smile.

I have gone to Charlie's Grind & Grill in Kapitolyo some time ago so I was glad to sample the resto's offerings again, albeit in a new location, through the website food run sponsored by Citibank.First, we were served Dirty Fries; it's chicken liver slivers came as a shock to me. Overall, the liver adds some more meatiness to the fries.We also sampled 3 types if burgers:- Five Cheese - 1/3lb patty with mozarella, gouda, cheddar, blue cheese bits and drizzled with cheese sauce. I found the blue cheese component a bit overpowering- Angus cheeseburger - which I'm told, are for people who want heartier burgers- Wagyu cheeseburger - which I found to be the winner in terms taste, juiciness and texture

3rd Stop: website Food Run - Charlie's Grind & GrillWe sampled several burgers including the Wagyu Burger, Five Cheese, and Angus Cheeseburger. Out of the three, my favourite would be the Wagyu Cheeseburger. Juicy, flavourful, and mouth-watering. Every bite I took, I just wanted to take another. This burger is definitely worth the extra money.I find the Angus burger too well-done for me. It was dry and hard to eat. Though the temperature was off, at least the flavour was good and the patties were well-seasoned.It's also worth mentioning that if you are a Citi cardholder and you use your Citi Debit or Credit Card, you get 25% off at any Charlie's branch. This offer is valid until May 31, 2016, lunch and dinner, with a minimum spend of Php1000. Now is that a good deal or what?Overall, I enjoyed this stop a lot. I really loved the freshness and the quality of the burgers here. It's good to know that after all these years, Charlie's Grind & Grill still delivers. If you're a fan of wings and bleu cheese; Reversed Buffalo Wings is for you! The wings are covered in blue cheese and you dip them in buffalo sauce! Also, you can never go wrong with their Angus Gorgonzola Burger!
