It was my first time to try C' Italian dining for a dinner sponsored by Cruising Magazine and website. It was one of the 16 legs of their #TravelforFood online contest. What We Tried:As with most Italian restos, they also served free bread, which you can enjoy with pesto sauce.~Panizza Kristina - topped with bacon, ham, sundried tomatoes and mushrooms, toppings were generous, and every slice was filled with them. The panizza was thin and crisp, and didn't crumble easily when rolled. You can also ask for extra alfalfa sprouts and arugula when you run out. I suggest drizzling a few drops of their special chilli oil, if you like a bit of a kick in your pizza.~Linguini Al Tartufo - truffle cream sauce topped with parma ham and asparagus. Truffle cream can be too heavy sometimes, but this one had the right balance of cream and truffle oil. The parma ham was a perfect companion as its saltiness helped cut through the cream. ~Tiramisu - a classic dessert in Italian restos, this one was really good. The mascarpone cream was light and fluffy, and the coffee wasn't too overpowering. a good way to end a great dinnerI also had this sparkly red drink, which I think is a shirley temple, it was a bit too sweet for me, but it's an alternative to the usual cola based drinks. The ambiance is very cozy, with a slightly dim romantic setup. I would recommend this for dates, where the yummy food won't leave a dent in your wallet. The interiors are nice, I especially love the paintings hung on the walls, so you can appreciate the art while waiting for your orders to arrive. They also have this wall of signed plates, with messages left by celebrities and politicians who enjoyed their food.

Cruising Magazine is celebrating their sixteenth anniversary and they partnered up with website which brings us, Taste #TravelForFood. As Filipinos who celebrate our special milestones in life by eating, they came up with a concept of eating at sixteen (16) different restaurants each week, trying out different cuisines, and making you feel like you have traveled the world through different dishes but without leaving the Metro.

For their eighth leg of the celebration, I was invited by website to dine with them at C' Italian Dining. They started out in Pampanga and they are well known for their panizzas. From the outside and the ambiance of the place, it looks like a fine dining restaurant but I'm surprised that they are just for casual dining and the prices are more affordable than expected. Here are the dishes that we had:Bread with Pesto Sauce. Complimentary bread while we wait for the meals. The way it was toasted was just right. Tastes good in plain or dipped. Italian Soda. It was my first time to try Italian soda so I didn't have any expectations. Tastes good.Kristina Panizza. Bacon, ham, caramelized onions, sun dried tomatoes and mushroom. Eating a panizza is actually fun. You add the arugula and alfalfa sprouts then roll it before eating. Tasty! Linguine Al Tartufo E Prosciutto. Truffle cream sauce topped with parmesan, prosciutto and asparagus. From the fettuccine to the sauce, prosciutto and parmesan, this dish is absolutely delicious. Tiramisu. It's very soft and tastes good, though I hope this would be served cooler.I had a really fun dinner with my co-website foodies. Thank you so much, website!FULL/DETAILED REVIEW IN MY BLOG POST.

It's another Cruising X website event and for tonight the featured restaurant is C' Italian Dining in Salcedo. When I received the invite for the event I asked my officemates for any reviews. I've seen in some reviews that the place is expensive so I asked my officemate who already dine in about her opinion. Surprisingly, Monica my officemate beg to disagree. This is actually one of her favorite restaurant around the Makati CBD. After that I became so excited for the event. The restaurant is just around 10-15 minutes of walk from my office at BPI Buendia Center. It is located along leviste street and you'll not miss this because of the design of the front door. The ambiance of the restaurant is very good and I can imagine myself dining here alone. The place is a very good date restaurant too :-) . Tonight's event is all about the cruising magazine event and all I am thinking about when I get here is the food. We were served with bread and italian sodas as appetizers for tonight. I just get a little as this can make me full and I might miss the good part of this whole event. The first meal for tonight is their very own Panizza. I've been to a certain restaurant which also serves Panizza and I was informed that C' Italian is the "Original" Panizza restaurant. This is a thin crust pizza sliced into strips tnen you'll put in the arugula and alfaalfa sprouts then you'll roll it altogether. This is just so amazing and so good. You could also add the chili oil and chili flakes for extra spiciness. I think we were served Panizza Angelico. We were also served Linguini Al Tartufo which is a truffle based pasta with a very good topping of ham, and it is so good and creamy. Served with a slice of bread and asparagus. Our dessert for tonight is a slice of Tiramisu and I just find it so mushy but it is good.Overall, the food is very good and seeing the menu I can say that pricing is not too bad also. The place is also very very nice and the servers are very polite. I will definitely be back here again either alone or with someone or with friends. 👍🏻👍🏻Thanks again to the owners of C' Italian Dining for the sumptuous meal!

C’ Italian Dining is popularly known for their Panizza. Aside from this, they serve en extensive menu that is truly Italian. Elegant, intimate and romantic. These are the few words that came into my mind upon entering C’ Italian Dining. Since I like places with paintings, I really adore the huge frames hanging on their walls. The area for me has a sufficient space that you won’t feel too cramped when it gets full. It is not too big either that maintains that cozy atmosphere. We started the night with minestrone, a classic Italian vegetable stew. Together with this warm starter, we were also served with some bread that came with pesto and parmesan dip.Panizza was indeed the star of our night and we get to try some of the various flavors C’ Italian Dining offers. You may ask, what’s the difference between a pizza and panizza? Well, a panizza is much thinner, sliced in long strips and is eaten in a different way. You get a strip after which you put some arugula and alfalfa sprouts on it. And the most fun part? Rolling it up! You can add red pepper flakes or chili oil too. Just take note that chili oil from C’ Italian Dining is spicier than the usual chili oil you can find in other pizza places. They intentionally made it that way because the family really loves spicy food. Some of the panizza flavors we tried:Angelico: Panizza topped with chorizo, salami, bacon and mushroom. Rolls Royce: Panizza topped with salami, US scallop flakes and sundried tomatoes. Margarita con Fungi: Panizza topped with fresh and sundried tomatoes, mushroom and basil leaves. Karmichael: Panizza topped with Italian sausage, black olives, green pepper and onions. Each panizza is served with one bowl of arugula and alfalfa sprouts. From the four panizza that we tried, I like Angelico the most.I usually have bias for seafood and tomato-based pasta. But this Linguini Al Tartufo is served simply yet with that distinct and mild truffle flavor. You can even smell its truffle scent from afar. And yes, I’ll raise my hand for this as the best pasta of the night. Their Tuscan Roasted Chicken is adequately flavorful and it comes with a rice pilaf that can be eaten on its own because of its scrumptious taste.US Prime Angus Flank Steak is amazingly served with rosemary herb, caramelized onion roasted potatoes and baked pumpkin slice. You can have your option on how you want it to be cooked, and I prefer it medium well. This piece of meat is really good as the flavor in each bite is prominent because of its sauce.Their lemon cheesecake is topped with sweet lemon sauce, almonds and cream. I’m not really a fan of cheesecakes but I appreciate its texture and the combination of its sweet and sour flavor. Blending the goodness of cheese, cream, coffee and cocoa is a sure spoiler with their Tiramisu. It was my first time to try Italian soda and the flavors were really refreshing! I like the pomegranate flavor the most.We definitely owe C’ Italian Dining for the invention of the Panizza (yes, they own the IPR for it). Having to put those sprouts and rolling up your own panizza was definitely a fun experience. I highly recommend C’ Italian Dining for an affordable and romantic date. Disclosure: This particular visit is courtesy of website and C’ Italian Dining. Nevertheless, I wrote this article with my own insights influenced by my personal experience.
