What I like about Bono Gelato is the limited choices it offers that vary from time to time. It could really be daunting to choose from among too many flavors. The set up of not putting the gelato on display adds to the anticipatory excitement of what the taste a particular flavor will offer. I have tried the butter beer and the dark chocolate flavors and I am happy with their creamy consistency. Flavors were spot on as well.

My sister and I tried their Cereal and Milk, and Movie Night. Love the simple yet super delicious combination of Cereal and Milk. For their Movie Night flavor, my two favorite sweets, chocolate potato chips and malt balls plus caramel...what more could I ask for?

I find gelato to be a bit on the sweet side but I surprisingly enjoyed Bono's gelato despite its array of rich flavors. Let me be clear, I am a vanilla girl at heart while my partner loves his chocolate and all his yummy flavors you try "to make you feel alive" type. But the die-hard Harry Potter fan in me couldn't resist to try Butterbeer, it was as if fate "Accio"-d me to "Avada Kedavra" my week-long diet. I guess I'll need to "Reparo" my resolve and finish my dreaded burpees tomorrow. I felt "confunded" as I floundered on my choice for about a minute. My BF and I split a cup with scoops of Butterbeer and Ube Mango Symphony. And I enjoyed every bite and I didn't feel the usual "umay", only umami, it was that yummy. The sweet butterbeer was countered by plain pretzels integrated in each scoop that provided a different texture and balance. I would love to be back and try this again for sure!Finite Incantatum.

HURRAY FOR BUTTERBEER.Product: I finally got to taste butterbeer and it is magical. It is a blessing to us all. I never really realized how much I loved it until I actually had it, until now I am still looking for more. I'm glad I got the chance to purchase it as it was their discounted flavor of the day and one scoop is not enough for this delicious treat. It is kinda price-y though. We also tried their Build Your Own Brownie Sunday which is like a brownie a la mode but the ice cream is bigger than the brownie. We combined the brownie with the Milo Dinosaur and it was a chocolate threat. The presentation isn't really the best and far different from their ads, it's more of a take out kind of serving but if you're not in it for the presentation, I would say that you will give this place a 5.0 because they ace the flavors you're looking for in here. They're just so good!Venue: the place is like a stall but they have a few tables for people who wanna dine in. I guess this explains why the treats are served in take-out containers. The crew was nice enough to let us taste a few flavors we were curious about before ordering and the transaction and service was fast.

Best gelato I have ever tasted so far. What I had was Pistachio and Butterbeer which were very yummy. The gelato had just the right sweetness and some texture to it due to the crunchy pretzels bits in the Butterbeer and the pistachio bits on the other flavor I had. I will be back for the other flavors too especially the Cioccolato.

I've been seeing Bono for the last few days in social media so when my friend and I was strolling around Glorietta and SM Makati, we tried Bono. Bono is an open gelato place between Glorietta and SM Makati. We looked at their menu and we saw the most unique flavors of gelato, like who would've thought that a butter popcorn can be a gelato? Other unique flavors would be Red Velvet, Glazed Donuts and Movie Night, which is a potato flavored gelato. As we were looking at the flavors, they let us taste the gelato that we were interested in. We were so confused on which flavors to choose because we almost tasted them all and they wouldn't mind it, good thing they didn't get irritated with that. They also suggested some flavors. After a long time of choosing and tasting, we finally decided on which flavors to have. We tried the Glazed Donuts, Rootbeer and Butter Popcorn. It costs 200 pesos but with one scoop it's around 120 pesos. I also ordered one pint of Speculoos for take away. It was nice because if you have a take away, they will put the gelato first in a blast freezer so it won't melt right away.Overall, I love it! It was so good. It is quite pricey but worth it. The only con for me is their location. It would've been better if they have a more cozy location because when we were there, it was rush hour, so a lot of people was just passing. But really, I wouldn't mind the location if the gelato would be this good! I would definitely go back to Bono for more awesomeness.

"Clean and seemingly elegant"Bono pulled me like a magnet attracting pure iron. The colors of the quaint place literally attracted me and brought me back to a time when the city wasn't much polluted with people, trash, noise and culture. It's sort of surprising that they placed the store in between two malls where people regularly pass by to go to the train station or bus stops or wherever. So, that "bringing me back to a quiet place" experience was easily diminished by the lack of privacy you'll get in the open area. A lot of people pass by and the "people pollution" will over power that "old quiet feeling" one got from the nice colorful interiors of the place. The next thing I appreciate was the mouth guard of the sales people. It makes one feel that your food is safe from the spitting saliva of the people who are serving it. I was just bothered with the personnel who was inside the gelato room making gelato because he didn't use the mouth guard or gloves...but anyway, let's go to the variety of gelatos and the taste. Well, I was new to the taste of Bono and based on the reviews of people (displayed on each table), it was velvety, one of a kind, and I think to sum it all up, all reviews said that no other gelato can taste the way Bono makes gelato. So, I was so excited to be "surprised." The server offered me the names of their gelato but didn't really guide me to how it tastes like. I was confused with the flavors and what really makes each wonderful (Maybe I'm not as lucky as others who got their free taste.) Nevertheless, I chose and I conquered! Choose one fail safe flavor and one risky flavor. HeheI chose TAHO for me and pistachio for my partner. The server failed to repeat my order and I assumed that she got it. Alas! She only gave me my TAHO and as I was trying to taste it while waiting for my partner's pistachio, I realized that we've been waiting for several minutes for the pistachio.

Upon close encounter with Bono Artisanal Gelato, we've found out there's more to them than just the average ice cream.I decided to try whatever the server was recommending, the Stracciatella, which I couldn't pronounce right and which translates to chocolate chip. It was perfectly frozen. Just enough. The consistency and creaminess were just right. It easily melted, but it was not watery at all. Just right, just right was all my palate could say. The little choco shavings blended well and still had the right crunch, but the taste of the chocolate itself was not that outstanding. It could be better if it was belgian or something darker or sweeter, perhaps? I believe they brought traditional science in making their gelato, thus the artisanal side. There's a uniformed girl wearing a white chef-like coat with Carpigiani Gelato University on it.The location was strategic. You can rest your feet and chill here after a whole day of shopping or to tame a ruly kid by ice cream or just to plain people-watch like what I did.

Chanced upon Bono Artisanal Gelato a year ago and being the pistachio lover that I am,ordered this flavor and oh boy!one scoop is just not enough!the good thing about Bono gelato is that they don't use artificial flavor, coloring & preservatives and their gelato are all natural & made fresh daily..some of my other favorite flavors are Fragola-california strawberries & Baci-dark chocolate w/ hazelnut. C'mon this is way better than Gelatissimo & I think the only edge of other gelato stores is that their gelatos are displayed in the counter unlike Bono (kept hidden),this is because Bono uses traditional Pozzetto cabinets to prevent light contamination, ensure the least amount of air & also to keep constant temperature because gelatos made from all natural ingredients melts faster. See this is The Real Scoop!

BONO is so back where it all started! Yay!Date day with my eldest and she opted to have ice cream. Since Bono is back, it was our first choice. She checked the menu and asked the staff if she can try Milo Dinosaur. She also tried the Cioccolato, Cereal & Milk and California Strawberry lol good girl! But she picked Milo Dinosaur in the end. It was good. Thick and creamy and true to Milo flavor. A little messy though since there were chocolate crumbs on top. I got a single scoop of their Mango Ube Symphony which was good. Strips of mango and streaks of ube. Not their best flavor I must say but the texture and creaminess was consistent with the other flavors. Loved the refreshing taste though.
