Whenever we go out, we usually want to try restos we haven't eaten before. I came across Benny's when searching through website. Feedbacks are good so we gave it a go. We were there around lunch time on a Sunday and we were immediately greeted and offered a seat. We ordered for shrimp okoy, kare kare, and grilled tuna belly. Shrimp okoy tastes great and we love it! There''s 5 small pieces per order. It's a kind of shrimp okoy we want. Kare kare is also good. The color is just too orangey for me but tastes good as well.Grilled tuna belly tastes a little salty for me but was cooked fine. Got thrilled as well when i saw that they offer guyabano shake. It's been a while when i last drink it and i was not dissapointed i wish the glass is larger (because i really liked it!)....Will defintely go back and would like to try their merienda oofers like bibingka, palitaw, etc

Had our dinner at this place last Thursday. For 3 pax, our meal was comprised of 4 cups of rice, 3 pcs of lumpiang ubod, a bowl of bangus belly sinigang, chopped crispy pata and a can of coke totaling to Php1,900++ (inclusive of service charge). While the food tasted above-average, for me it’s quite pricey. Plating is nice, utensils meet expectations, serving time’s reasonable. For a restaurant located in a popular shopping/dining district, it can do better than the standard dining transactions. Such price can create a better dining experience.

So this is supposedly the modern incarnation of Yum Yum Tree, but it's gone quite a long way from what I remember it to be as a kid when my mom would take me to eat there when she used to work for Rustans. Maybe I should have tried the merienda menu to go down memory lane but I was really curious to try the Pinakbet Rice for lunch. Which was pretty good but not overly wow. The bagnet on top was a a bit too hard. The binukadkad na tilapia was very good, though I wish we had more buro to go with it (but then I do love my buro). The calamares was standard and good. The prices are now higher than what is published here, if I recall everything we ordered was around 800 or so. Service was very fast and polite.
