How adventurous do you think you can be with your ice cream? Imagine this, how blissful would it be to have a different flavor per day? Well, with Baskin Robbins, this sugary fantasy can become a reality.A little history lesson: Baskin-Robbins is the world's largest chain of ice cream specialty shop restaurants. The brand is based in Canton, Massachusetts and was founded in 1945 by Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins in Glendale, California. Remember the one flavor a day? Well, the company is well known for its "31 flavors" slogan. The idea is that a customer could have a different flavor of ice cream every day of any month—now, that will never be boring!Last week, I was invited to Baskin Robbins in Glorietta 2. The store was well lit and looked very inviting, I arrived to several kids enjoying their respective sweets of choice, which made me think, what do I want to try?I approached the counter and saw that the store has guides on how to pick and build your own sundae. The first step is to choose 1, 2, or 3 scoops of your favorite flavor, either in a waffle cone or cup; then, on to the toppings and boy, do they have a lot! You can have the regular ones like Hot Fudge, Whipped Cream, Caramel Pralines, White Chocolate Chips, among others or go premium with Chopped Almonds, Strawberry, Chocolate Candies, and Chocolate Wafer Balls. The final step is finishing your sundae with yes, there’s more—whipped cream, cherry, and chopped almonds. Make your treats more lavishly delicious and eye-popping! Add Php 35 for colored waffles and Php 56 for fancy ones (colored waffles with a border of your toppings of choice). Now on to what I was able to try: first was the Double Scoop of Maui Brownie Madness and Orange You Scared (the flavor of the month this November, with chocolate ice cream and orange-colored flakes) (Php 159) on the red Waffle Cone (Php 35). The creamy scoops were considerably big; you can trust me on this. The crispy colored waffle cone complemented the sweetness of the ice cream, taming it down a notch. Next was the Brownie Ala Mode with playful Cotton Candy and with a hint of berry, Baseball Nut (Php 249) which married together a moist chunk of brownie and the saccharine goodness of the two flavors. For those who like cookies as well, I also made my own award winning combination of Warm cookie of Double Fudge and Dark Chocolate sandwiched with their really cool Mint Ice Cream (Php 169). The invigorating minty flavor blended well with the cookies, which were of different flavors and textures. Refreshing to have! Of course the classics will always be there! I tried the Banana Split (Php 369), which had a different twist, made modern with unusual ice cream choices of Pistachio, Cotton Candy, and Jamoca (coffee ice cream with roasted almonds and a rich chocolate fudge ribbon) This instagramable ensemble was topped with chocolate wafer balls, hot fudge, and rainbow sprinkles. This was a festive creamy treat, fit for a celebration! Not to forget the milkshake lovers, Baskin Robbins has something for everyone. I chose the Strawberry Milkshake using their real Strawberry flavor, and it did not disappoint me as well. It had that familiar velvety goodness and right amount of sweetness. Yep, this was a sugar filled adventure to remember! Wanna make one too, Baskin is waiting for you.

I've been wanting to try Baskin and Robbins for quite some time now, and I have to be honest, part of my hesitation was the intimidation; not just by the price point, but with their vast selection of flavors. Thankfully, after being so curious for so long, I decided to try them out. The crew manning the counter was kind enough to let me know what were the differences per scoop, and even made me try a couple of flavors. I made up my mind with the Love Potion #31, which first, and foremost, I obviously chose for its name, I found it interesting, and rightfully so, for it's quite an interesting mix of vanila, and raspberry ice cream, with generous ribbons of raspberry syrup, with chunks of chocolate chips, and raspberry-filled hearts. I mean, how commin do you get to have raspberry flavored ice cream in the Philippine ice cream market? Never, I say. Chocolates, vanillas, there are a lot of versions of those flavors locally, but never for this kind, that's why I opted for this fruity kind. 😋 It was good! I got double scoops of the larger serving (I forgot what the scoop name was! 😂) It was somewhat expensive, but quality-wise, it was so worth-it! I would definitey try out some other flavors next time! I can't wait for the Cotton Candy!

Childhood memories hit me right away as I walk into any Baskin Robbins store. This branch in Glorietta 2 is the one I like the most as it is the largest branch that I have been to and has ample seating. I remember back in the day, Greenbelt 1 is where I would get my ice cream fix after enjoying a movie.Over the years, the ice cream flavors have remained the same, with maybe a few add-ons. But then they did expand their menu adding such things like cookie sandwhiches.I will admit, I do try a few sample flavors here and there 😜, but in the end, most if not always, I end up with my total favorite, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. When I see those cookie dough chunks, I totally get giddy like a child.Of course, the other flavors are yummy. One really cannot go wrong. I suggest to go with a group of friends or family, just in case you are torn with what to order, always best all people order something different and share. Sharing is caring! 💗💗💗Food: 5.0 - Quality is top for the ice cream. It hasn't gone down over the years.Price: 4.0 - Prices are mostly doable. But the bottled water prices shocked me.Service: 5.0 - Friendly and attentive staff. Patient as well, which is a must when it comes to having a lot of kids as customers on a daily basis.Ambience: 3.5 - Mostly white. The concept is the colors, which mainly come from what is served at the counter, attracts people. My sweet-tooth just got turned on writing this review. Cookie dough...😜👍💯

We always eat here in a cup but I'm surprised that their cones were also delicious. It's not a bland taste compared to other dessert stores. They have reasonable price as you get a generous amount of serving per scoop.Must-try flavors are Jamoca Almond Fudge, Jamoca, Snickers, Pumpkin Cheesecake, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Strawberry Cheesecake, Pralines n' Cream & Caramel Turtle. Can't decide which flavors you want? Fret not, because they give free samples to figure out the flavor that you really like.
