Good food and a nice place to be with family. It feels very asian since you will be eating in a banana leaf. I love the Roti Canai and the Beef Rendang.

I like this brand since it offers a wide array of asian food. If you're sick of the usual steak and other English food, then go for this restaurant.

I ordered a pad Thai, which only had fish cakes in it.. there were no other options. Roti with curry sauce and a Vietnamese coffee. The coffee was good, the roti was too crunchy and the pad thai was ok. I found the waitress to be not that knowledgeable about the food on the menu when I would ask what kind of meat was in certain dishes because it didn’t state it in the menu she wasn’t sure. I don’t think I would return to this restaurant.

You’ll definitely experience using Banana Leaf as your plate! It was not a new thing to me because I have tried to eat using banana leaf when we had some time to eat in the province. I have tried their chicken hainanese set meal, spicy kangkong, baby back ribs and Vietnamese prawn ball with cheese. The set meal comes with salted rice, soup and some seasonings for the chicken. I like the roasted baby back ribs!

I haven’t dined in here for so long that I forgot how good their food is!Nasi Goreng - plain old fried rice with a sunny side up egg. Can’t go wrong adding more flavor to already good riceVietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls - not the best I’ve had but it satisfied my enthusiasm for one Wok Fried Black Curry Lamb - I didn’t expect to like this! Some might find it salty, but I think the sauce softens the strong flavor. The slices were soft and easy to separate.Stir Fried Prawns in Singaporean Chilli Sauce - this one looked sad upon being served. Six pieces of prawns drowned in sauce. But I was in for a surprise. I loved the chili sauce! In the end, I appreciated the overflow because I used this sauce with every other viand too.We also had a grilled squid, which was okay. The chili paste that came with it made it a bit more special.I can’t wait to come back and try their othet dishes!

They mix meat and does not have complaint management protocol. What you see in the picture which I’ve posted is their “beef” rendang, which obviously has pork (note the great difference in color and texture). We raised it to 2 servers, then the guy manager eventually came and even claimed that both parts are beef. He even brought a sample of beef that they are using before mixing with sauce but this move did not make a difference because what he brought was obviously beef. He guaranteed that they do not mix meat. This is a big deal because what if a muslim ate this? I raised this to a food group community in facebook and for some reason my post was deleted (I tagged them). Seems like that’s how they manage these issues.

For tonight’s dinner, Mia and I shared a takeout set from her sister. It was Banana Leaf. We weren’t all that excited as we just had a meal from them three days ago.The Fresh Spring Rolls were just okay. It was unimpressive without its peanut-based dip. The Nasi Goreng, on the other hand, was better. It was flavorful despite being spicy. I had too much of it, which was evident that I enjoyed.

Dishes:1. Tilapia fillet with Assam samba sauce : 4/52. Thai green curry : 3.53. Roti canai w/ curry : 4/51. Surprisingly my favorite dish in this resto. Sauce was balanced of sweet and sour. Ordered extra rice just for the sauce.2. Green curry was good, Thai ingredients used and came through in the dish.3. Roti is my go to whenever I see it available in the menu.
