RAMEN WARS REVIEWI have eaten at several ramen restaurants that are within my office vicinity in Makati, so Ajisen was one I had to check off my list eventually. When I had asked my best friend about it, he said his dining experience there was nothing too memorable - so my expectations were quite low.Surprisingly enough, the place was packed. We were lucky to get a table despite the obvious lunch rush. The place is simple, with nothing very Japanese about it aside from the chopsticks on the table. Very fast-food vibe. The service was okay, despite the craziness of the place. They gave us cold house tea right away, which is always a plus. Before ordering, I looked around and noticed a lot of the patrons had not ordered ramen but rather other options from the menu. This is always an instant red flag, but I went ahead and picked out a dish.Chasu Ramen (P305)We both ordered this and I asked for extra Aji Tamago on the side for P50. It was a plus for me that they offered that side-dish. Our food arrived within 10-15 minutes. Presentation looked pretty good because they even had the mini-soup ladles and the serving size was quite big.At my first sip of the broth, I found the flavors were pretty average. It was not piping hot either. It was actually at that temperature of warmth that is a few minutes from getting cold. With every successive sip, it was as if there was flavor at first but once you swallowed it left a watery after-taste. It ended up being quite bland at some point so I had to mix in chili oil - but even that did not improve the flavor very much. The meat was actually quite good, with the Chashu Ramen had five round slices of pork. They broke apart perfectly and were very tender and tasty. It was probably the best tasting thing in the bowl. The egg that came with the order is actually a hard-boiled egg with a smokey-looking color, which I have never seen that dark before. It tasted like a regular egg though. The Aji Tamago I ordered also had that same almost black or smokey outside color but a molten inside. When I ate it with my broth, it actually lacked flavor for a marinated egg. The toppings were the usual leeks and mushrooms but they also had some cabbage, which I could have done without. The noodles were strange. I found them okay, but the more I slurped down, the more I realized that they actually looked and tasted like thin spaghetti noodles. Maybe if the texture had not been so soft and limp then they would have tasted better. Over-all, I am giving this establishment a 2.5 with regards to their ramen because even if it is rather affordable, I have gotten TEN times better quality ramen for the same price in other establishments. Sad to say, this will be my first and last time to eat here.

I tried this place out of my mom's recommendation. I haven't had breakfast nor lunch before I went to this place so I was super hungry. My mom recommended that I tried their donburi but since this is a ramen place, of course I would try first their ramen. So I got their seafood ramen and I gotta say. It was okay. Nothing special really. The difference of this ramen from the other places I've tried is that its noodles are so thick it could pass off as spaghetti! Nonetheless, I still enjoyed the meal and the service crew were nice. Although they were not really acting professional at the time I was eating, but I just let it pass since it was a dead hour anyway and there were practically just two customers.

Me want ramen! Good thing Ajisen was near my place when I had this craving. For starters, I ordered the Chizu Maki. Got curious of how cheese would taste as maki. Surprisingly, it tastes good. Although, they should have used a different type of cheese. Seemed like they used regular cheese. But, for its price (P178), quality was fair enough.I then ordered the Ajisen ramen, which is ramen topped with cabbage, fungus, egg, and sliced pork meat. The broth was a bit garlicky but fine with me since I like garlic. Broth was also not too salty (the way I like it with ramen). Pork meat was tender and seasoned well. The egg though is a bit overcooked. The yolk was super well done. Noodles looked like it came out of the pasta pack from the groceries. But, again, given the proce range, ramen was ok.Ajisen Ramen satisfies your ramen cravings. But, it's not something that would make you go "Oishidesu!". 👌

I had their Ajisen and gyoza. There's nothing special in it that made the experience great. It was like eating a ramen cup noodle. It lacked the thickness of the soup and flavor as well. The time that we are here I believe wasn't the best time to experience what Ajisen Ramen is to offer, as everyone's busy with the lunch time rush hour.

Their soup base is astounding! Their noodles, not so much. It feels like spaghetti pasta. The toppings are just alright and the serving size is good for one hungry person.

Place ⛤⛤⛤⛤Food ⛤⛤⛤⛤Staff ⛤⛤⛤Service ⛤⛤⛤Food serving was enough for a hungry person. Ramen broth was just ordinary. I was expecting for a creamier broth. Theres a service charge, good enough for the welcome house tea. 😛

We are in search for the best Ramen in the Metro and Ajisen was our first stop.Me and my bf were undecided as to where we'd eat and said that he saw a ramen place nearby my new office. I wasn't really into the idea of having ramen for dinner but he insisted so I went along with it.Once we got in, I must say I'm pretty impressed by the interiors. There's just something about high ceilings. Only a few tables were occupied when we arrived and we were gladly welcomed by one of the waiters and gave us their complimentary house tea. They had a lot of options but we're sticking with Ramen tonight as Cj suggested we should start looking for THE best ramen around, to sway me into a ramen enthusiast.▪️ Seafood Ramen: This was my order. I like this bowl a lot. They were pretty generous with the amount of seafood in my ramen and, the broth was pretty good. Just a downside on the octopus bits. It tasted some what off, like it just came from the freezer and didn't have enough time to thaw.▪️Beef Teppanyaki Ramen: It was okay. A little too salty for me. Beef quality tho is pretty good, gotta give them that.▪️Chicken Curry Rice: My bf has always wanted to try Curry Rice and he got his wish. Verdict? MEH. The chicken bits reminded us of overcooked, hours-old KFC Funshots. The chicken had taste but, it was tough and chewy. Curry sauce also meh.For all three items, it cost us a little over 1,000pesos which, to me, is kinda pricey for "okay" ramen. I know for that much, I could probably get something much better. On to the next one, then.

We ate here last week quite late too,, didnt think they were open at first but the man opened the door and showed us where to sit,, then he put the closed signed around. I guess it waS fine since we were the last customers. But what was really disappointing was almost everything we wanted werent available except for the noodles. Another thing was they got my whole order wrong, i wanted the chicken curry and they served me with chicken teriyaki,, honestly i dont eat teriyaki but i guess they were closing,, i also ordered chicken karaage and apparently it was misplaces by our waiter and forgot to write it down, none of them apologized and nothing was offered to us, i guess even the mango shake that we wanted to try wasnt available. Which was really funny because we just saw them put away things for the drinks. Another point was my husband tried to talk to them about the orders and two of the ladies were literally yelling at him from accross the restaurant. I guess they couldnt be bothered to come closer to talk to the customer. It was really disappointing from food to service to just the whole menu not being available. I CANT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE BECAUSE STAFF WERE REALLY RUDE AND THERES NO CONSIDERATION AT ALL FOR CUSTOMERS. FOOD WASNT SOMETHING TO RAVE ABOUT. CONSIDERING THE LOCATION IS IN MAKATI THERE ARE BETTER PLACES WITH A BETTER VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY. ALTHOUGH ID LIKE TO THANK THE MANAGER FOR MERELY YELLING AT MY HUSBAND FROM ACCROSS THE ROOM ASKING WHAT DID HE NEED IN FILIPINO. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDYING GREAT SERVICE.

We got Hiyashi, Spicy Ramen, and Gyoza. Gyoza is fine, but the ramen is not spicy at all and not really tasty. It's not what I expected it. The Ajisen in China is one of the best ramen I've ever had, big serving, so spicy and the pork, oh yes, it's very good! Wish they had that here they can easily be as good as Nagi and such. The only think I liked is the egg it has more flavor than the ramen it self.Place is big, has an aircon but it's a bit hot. Service is okay.
