Hidden between hotels and hostels in the Red Light District is A’toda Madre, a bar with mexican flair serving classic mexican dishes like soft shell tacos, nachos, and elotes with high quality alcoholic beverages. Their space was quite small compared to the other pubs and bars that i visited but they made up for it with ample indoor and outdoor seating. They also filled up the place with colorful latin decor including murals and other decorations like sugar skulls so there was always something interesting to look at.As the third stop in website’s Poblacion Pub Crawl in partnership with NutriAsia, A’toda Madre brought out their best dishes that were the perfect pair with their own signature cocktails blended with “Locally” fruit juices. All the dishes and beverages were complimentary as part of this tour. •The first dish i tried was their elotes, popular in Mexico as a street food this dish was a simple but delicious appetizer. The light char brought a nice smokiness to the buttery sweetcorn while the bits of Mozzarella cheese and light dusting of paprika powder added a hint of spice and made the disg more exciting and complex compared to your typical buttered corn appetizer. •Their Nachos was next in line and i would say that it is excellent as well. Nachos are simple in theory and what really makes it special is the quality of the chips and the choice of fillings. A’Toda Madres’ nachos were splendid, their chips were nice and crisp yet different from the usual generic nacho chips served in other places. It was also topped with barbacoa meat, cheese, tomatoes, and mozzarella all of these were top notch and complimented each other well. Bringing savory, salty, tangy, and truly mexican flavors in a dish that everyone will love. •They also served calamari, another popular bar chow. Their calamari was cooked perfectly and the squid bits were not chewy at all, my only complaint about this dish is that the seasoning was inconsistent as some bits of squid had more seasoning than others. •They served several variants of their soft shell tacos with different meat filling and toppings. I was able to try their Chili Verde Tacos, Chicken Chipotle Tacos, and the Barbacoa Taco. As a lover of tacos, i was in heaven!. Soft shell tacos are not as popular as their commercialized hard shell taco cousins and a lot of people are missing out. •Their tacos were perfectly bite sized (for those who can eat it in one go like me) and 3 tacos per plate was enough for a person and for sharing as well. •The meat filling in all three tacos were flavorful on their own, both the Chicken, and Barbacoa we’re nicely seasoned and was marinated well that you can classic mexican flavor in every strand of meat. • Their salsa and other vegetable toppings like onions and tomatoes tasted fresh and complimented the deep flavor of the meat filling with a nice herb-y tanginess. •I also loved their gratuitous use of Cilantro in their salsa verde, a polarizing ingredient for many but arguably my personal favorite herb of them all. •• My only complaint would be the pickled onions on top of the Barbacoa tacos which was a little bit too overpoweringly sour especially when you try to eat in all at once but all in all they were all delicious and unique.BeveragesAs part of website’s Pub Crawl in partnership with “Locally” Juices, A’toda Madre was tasked to create their own signature concoctions using “Locally” Juices which range from Calamansi to Tamarind. A’toda’s bartenders were well prepared for this challenge with a bar stocked with more than a hundred varieties of Tequila and other alcohols. • I personally liked the Tamarita Guyabano, a complex but interesting mix of Tamarind Juice, Guyabano Juice, and Tequila. • The sweet and sour Kamias was also delicious and refreshing, perfectly paired with the Elotes which were sweet and savory.• I really liked that their cocktail shots were a lot stronger than the other drinks that i’ve already tried from other pubs in this tour. Their beverages also paired well with the food that they served.Overall, A’toda Madre brings authentic mexican fare to Makati’s red light District. Their food was simple but done extremely well, their signature Locally cocktails were just as good.Food: 4Drinks: 3.5

This is a really nice place to hang out with friends. If you want to purge all the things inside you with alcohol this is where you can go to. 🤣 The elotes callejeros were simply delicious! I also love how it has this heat in it that makes it all the more yummy. The quesadillas are definitely a favorite too for me. They're not too thick or too thin and the meat and the cheese inside are so so good! 😍 The tacos were good too! Go for the lengua. :) we had the chocolate flan for dessert and it was really good! It was thick and full of chocolate goodness. :) I really like this place. It's such a good hang out place. :) at 5-7pm they have a promo that involves buy 1 take 1 Corona and margaritas for 195. :)

FOOD:, 3 different fillings in one order? For 195 pesos? Muy delicioso? Enganchame hermano! We ordered Street Tacos with Carnitas, Steak and Barbacoa fillings and damn, their Tacos were glorious! Especially the Barbacoa - I just had to have another bite! And the steak? Softly melts with each chew. And the best part? There's two tortillas per filling so you get to enjoy each twice!SERVICE: We went on a Wednesday night so the place was empty hence food was served with minimal waiting time plus the staff was attentive and helpful.Overall, we were happy as our stomachs were happy.

The food and drinks were quite good. We ordered the street tacos with three different flavors: Chili Verde, Carnitas, and Steak. They were good, but not mind-blowing. Lol. But their Nachos were really good though, and the serving was HUGE for two people. For the drinks, I had their Cadillac Margarita and Mojito. The Cadillac Margarita was too strong for me, but my friend said that that’s how a margarita should taste like, so okay fine. Hahaha! The Mojito was just okay. The vibe was just okay, not something I’d go back to. I prefer some other places in Poblacion.

Ordered their street tacos. First off, the tacos were really small. They didn't put enough cilantro, and what little amount they did put was all stalks, no leaves. The fillings I picked were chili verde, carnitas and steak. The steak filling was the best, though they put too little. Chili verde was so dry. Carnitas was sour. Also it says on the menu they serve the tacos with salsa roja and salsa verde, but they only gave salsa verde (which was cold, soupy and flavorless). So disappointed, I was really craving tacos too.The margarita was decent though and so was the service.

Atoda Madre offers whole Mexican experience and definitely a perfect place for tequila lovers as they have the most extensive tequila bar in the Philippines. For me skulls are creepy but Atoda Madre made them to  something festive and instagram worthy! These artworks symbolizes the “Day of the Dead” in Mexico where they honor the dead with festivals and even lively celebration.

Planning for a festive night with friends or special someone? Better bring them to Atoda Madre along Poblacion Makati and let them do the rest to make your night special. They serve premium tequilas and so far the Mexican dishes that we tried are all amazingly delicious. The nachos and corn tortillas are both tasty, they gave justice to what an actual Mexican dish should taste like. Available fillings are chicken, pork, beef or even veggies only.

Street tacos were the star of the show when my friends and I dropped by A'toda Madre in Makati City (Metro Manila, Philippines). Although I am a loyalist of El Chupacabra just a few blocks away, I am not one to turn down a chance to try out street tacos from another joint. Before the main event however, we tried out some appetizers. First up was a serving of Elotes or spicy grilled corn. I'm a huge fan of corn and I enjoyed this dish. However, it gets a tad bit too spicy if you happen to scoop up a spoonful that got an extra generous sprinkling of chili powder. It's probably best to mix up the whole plate to even out the spices before diving in.

From the name itself, everything was great. First thing that you would love about this bar is their colorful murals which represents a festival celebration in Mexico and even though the place was small, still it would be a good place for people to drink to because of the wide selection of Alcohol plus the staffs are wonderful you could really see that the staffs especially the barista is an expert in doing the mix. It was fun watching her doing the execution. For the food, my personal favorite was the appetizer which is the Elotes it was very known as a street food in Mexico which was made with corn, chili powder, butter, cheese etc.. I super love this because cheese corn is one of my favorite street food here in the Philippines and Elotes was quite exceptional it’s not our typical sweet butter cheese corn I love how the saltiness, spiciness, sweetness plus the creaminess all in one combined it was perfect! All mexican pubs wouldn’t complete without Nachos! Their Nachos are great as well, I love how the quality of the nachos itself compliments the fillings of it. Served next was the Calamari, what’s good about this dish is the quality of the fried calamari it was perfectly fried it’s not hard to chew not like other fried calamari I’ve tried. What I just want to recommend for this dish is that they should seasoned it well or put a little more seasonings. Last food they served is the three selection of the tacos which has a rich flavor especially the salsa.About the drinks served they were all mixed with Locally PH as part of our Pubcrawl and my personal favorite was the Tamarita Guyabano which contain Tamarind and Guyabano Juice and of course the Tequila! The alcohol is not overpowering the tamarind and the guyabano flavor. It was just mixed to perfection.
