It was my first-time to go to Chef Mau Restaurant inside Liliw that was recommended by my sister who has visited the area before. The restaurant appeared as if a house that has been changed into a two-storey eating location. Due to this, it experienced like Ijust visited a member of family in the province therefore it’s quite relaxing. The restaurant doesn't have a parking region therefore i just parked across the street which was alright because there’s very little vehicles that go by in the area. Among the dishes that people ordered, the okoy was the best. It had been super crispy and tasty particularly when dipped in garlic vinegar. A serving contains 11 bite-size okoy that was best for the five folks. We also liked the sinigang na hipon since it was cooked predicated on how I'd like my sinigang to end up like - more sour using true tamarind sufficient reason for labanos, kangkong, eggplant, and okra. We furthermore tried the kare-kare but I came across it regular because I did nothing like the sauce an excessive amount of and since it didn’t have enough meats. The shrimp paste, nevertheless, tasted really good. I was very disappointed with the lechon kawali due to its small meal which consisted of simply six thin slices. Your skin has been crispy but I came across it bland. The salad that complements it has so very much dressing that was overpowering. I furthermore found the pako (fern) salad disappointing because I believe it was overmixed and therefore the fern was wilted and contains shed its crispiness. The salad got sliced and cut salted egg, tomatoes and onion. I came across the dressing as well sour. It really is miles from Sulyap’s pako salad when it comes to presentation and flavor. My sister furthermore recommended the stuffed eggplant but I actually didn’t like it since it has “sawa” element due to the sauce. It is therefore overpowering that you could no longer flavor the eggplant and the minced pork. It might have been better should they divided the sauce and simply utilize it as a dip. One major plus element in eating inside Chef Mau may be the price - the laundry were really inexpensive. Tastewise, the laundry we’ve tried were suitable. That is still one eating place that I would suggest for those going to the south via Liliw and so are craving for Filipino meals.

Visited Chef Mau from Magdalena Rd within Brgu Bungkol Liliw Laguna looking to meet again the noted chef and proprietor of similarly-named restaurants within the Metro Manila region. Sadly, discovered that Chef Mauro passed on this past year. This restaurant is currently handled by his sister. Many items in the menu weren't available. The best providing for me will be the appetizers; the crunchy mini-okoys and the flavorful tofu teriyaki. The entre of crispy pata and pato period were just alright. I was thrilled to flavor the mango crepe, nonetheless it had been disappointing. The chocolate ice cream at the top produced the crepe soggy rather than good. Not sure easily will go back.

There is absolutely no reason to consume here. Meals is meh and requires long to function. I don’t find out about some other Filipino restos round the area, but simply go with Arabela even though you have to fall into line for it.
