And here's our take on their food offerings:Kare-kare at Php 399. Description reads: 'Kuya's take on traditional kare-kare. Reinvented peanut sauce, perfect sa panlasa ng bawat Pinoy!' It's not what you'd expect. You imagine this to be in a big bowl with lavish 'reinvented' peanut sauce, but it's not. Bet the peanut sauce was in scarcity. It tastes good, though nothing has beaten Little Quiapo's Kare-kare yet. But serving is just disappointingly small. Humba at Php 220: "Traditional pork humba in a sweet savory sauce. May kasama pang boiled egg." Same story. Very small. And nothing really special except with the egg, rather?Sizzling Sisig with Egg at Php 190: "The all-time Filipino favorite sizzling crispy and crumbly chopped pork belly na hot na hot sa sarap." Now this one was a redeeming choice. Really crunchy, tasty and sticky. The pan they used was bigger than in other restos. Palabok at Php 165: "Traditional palabok with Kuya J's original rich shrimp sauce. Sinamahan pa ng boiled egg at crunchy chicharon bits." Didn't enjoyed this, too. It was a bit bland. In general, serving's small and it's overrated. Same sentiment I thought would turn-around from my Bacolod experience. They could've spent their money on improving their menu and serving. Word-of-moth could be the best marketing. Just sayin'.Enjoy eating,eatsdelicious.blogspot.com

Went here, got curious about their halo halo. The place in Southmall was a bit small. No music. No designs. The service is very poor. No one is at the podium for the waiting customers. No one attends to the hungry customers.. Really takes time to get your food even to order. Oh about the halo halo.. The milky shaved ice didnt impress us. It was okay but not impressive. Food was not great. Other pinoy restaurants are way way better.

They made slight revisions on their Salo Salo (Group) menu. We got the meal consisting of the Crispy Pata, Sinigang na Bangus, Chicken Halang-Halang and Chospuey. The Crispy Pata was good on the outside but just fell a little short on the inside. The Sinigang soup was artificial, tasted like a pack of powdered soup base. Halang-Halang lacked the spice and the Chopsuey had slightly over cooked vegetables. Their only shining hope is the Crispy Kangkong. Place gets a bit full during lunch and dinner time. Hence, food took too much time to prepare. Each dish was served every ten minutes. Not the best dining experience in my opinion.
