I'm not a fan of eating Pinoy food in restaurants but this particular restaurant I was willing to try because of the "Sinigang Rice". This item on the menu did not disappoint since it really tasted like sinigang! Just the right amount of sourness paired with the sweet marinade of the chicken tocino. My comment? More chicken! The spam musubi was also good, though not as great and innovative as the Sinigang rice. The beignets were yummy! It's done just after you order it making it warm and a bit crusty outside and soft inside. I liked the classic beignets better than the Chocolate-filled ones though. Price is comparable with other coffee shops, may be even a little cheaper. Definitely worth the drive to BF Homes. #QueenMuncherPH

My friend and I were starting our jog when we noticed this little restaurant. We are both green tea lovers so when we saw the the words Green tea we were thinking if we should go inside then we saw the word beignets then wondered what that was and what it taste like, so we finally decided to go inside to try. The interiors of the restaurant made us feel cozy. We were the only people inside so the server went to us immediately. From all my restaurant experiences this is the first time I saw a list of all the dishes on their menu written on a piece of paper with check boxes on the side and a space where you can write your specifications for your dish. You can see how organized they are. For that afternoon, we ordered the Kapeng Mainit special which was a little bit strong and the green tea beignets which was sweet but delicious. We liked the green tea sauce oozing from the pastry and the white confectioners sugar 😁

The place was small and can get cramped when full. There were just about 5 tables. Their menu didn't have much but since the place was named Kapeng Mainit, I was hoping that their specialty would be coffee. But then again, I went here for the Beignets.I got an order of Matcha Beignet and an Iced Mocha. Cherienne got 1 choco chip and 1 double chocolate chunk cookie. The Matcha Beignets were great! An order would give you 4 pieces of warm and soft beignets, which are just doughnuts, oozing with matcha filling. All 4 were dusted with powdered sugar making them look gorgeous. I would say that I liked them but can get really sweet because of the sugar and they don't taste good anymore when they're no longer warm. Then their "Best Seller" Iced Mocha. Gah! If it was just for this drink, I'll give it ⭐️ Seriously! I thought I had the worse Iced Mocha in Icings but this one - goodness! I was expecting brewed coffee at least since they didn't have an espresso maker but NO! They used instant coffee (the powder type) then added powdered chocolate and cinnamon. I know since I saw the staff put everything together in a mason jar. He even used Mc Cormick for the cinnamon. It tasted bleh! For 110Php, justice please lol It was as if I was drinking flavored water - no coffee taste, not even chocolate. All that I tasted was cinnamon x water 😳The cookies were okay. 35Php each, don't get them! Good thing I didn't get their C3 - 3 cookies with ice cream on top because I'm sure it wouldn't do the calories justice.

I will never go back to this place again..It was my friend's birthday and she invited us for a late lunch last Friday..I ordered for chicken tocino..The sinigang rice doesn't compliment the chicken tocino..It came with a cup kapeng barako..And guess what, right after we ate, we started having stomach cramps.. I had bouts of diarrhea..I kept on vomiting too..I'm still experiencing cramps atm..Btw..if not for the beignets, the score should've been zero..

Since I started listing coffee shops in BF homes as part of my 2016 bucket list we first tried "Kapeng Mainit". The ambiance was okay, I love the painting on the walls. It was just small, about 5 tables. We tried their Beignets both green tea and chocolate filling, it was delicious and best serve when hot. We also tried their Ice Cream sandwich with scoop of vanilla ice cream, nothing special but it was okay. For our drinks we ordered Kapeng Mocha(iced), it tastes like milo. I'll be back though, so I can try their main course menu.

While waiting my daughter in school, I have to multi-task and blog as well. One time while driving around BF Paranaque, I saw this little coffee shop and it seems to be not crowded during 10 in the morning. From the name Kapeng Mainit, my thinking is that, they are offering local coffee such as Batangas Kapeng Barako - which they are by the way. An Indian-inspired wall art will welcome you. Tiny space, but I guess it can accommodate 30 pax. Kapeng Barako with milk and sugar syrup. What I love about this is that, you'll be the one to make your own coffee (somehow, actually). Beignets - it's like a bigger puff pastry with chocolate filling inside this super soft pastry. If you're tired with the green-mermaid coffee shop and trying to squeeze in with a crowded café, Kapeng Mainit will not disappoint coffee lovers like me.

Pleasantly surprised! This small coffee shop along tropical ave. serves great beignets. I tried The biscuit, although tasty was a bit too crumbly for my taste. Try the Tapa though with kimchi rice, which was good. I tried the kapeng mainit special coffee which was just ok. I prefer my coffee stronger and very hot.

Been here last monday but there is no food since it is closing time. The food is good and the price is affordable. But the place is small though they said that it is an old garage. The crews are nice.

We got the green tea and the chocolate beignets. So good! They taste like fried Bavarian doughnuts, or like a cross between a bear claw and a cronut. We also got C3, which consists if 3 cookies with the flavors of your choice. We picked Calamansi, Oatmeal and Double Chocolate. All good! Crunchy outside and chewy inside. And of course, we also ordered some Kapeng Mainit special to go with the pastries. The service was also great.

First tried Kapeng Mainit when it was just starting out. I even talked the owner when he was thinking about selling beignets and look how famous the beignets are now! The green tea beignets are by far my favorite especially the spam musubi. Only thing bad about the food is that the nori wrap is not crunchy so when I take a bite of the spam musubi, the rice falls off. Also the chicken on their adobo is ridiculously small probably the smallest chicken I've seen and not worth the P195. Anyway I was sitting where I can see my food being prepared and noticed the cook was not wearing cloves while preparing my spam musubi. Hope they improve in the future especially the spam musubi nori wrap.
