Tried this restaurant because my boyfriend said the reviews are great. We arrived at the resto and I was amazed by the ambiance. They had books hanging on the ceiling and some vintage photographs on the sides wall. Another wall ther was a mural of some kind. The creativity on the restaurant was very well display.Vegan quesadilla- it was actually a new taste for me. Never a vegan and I think I will never be. I liked the salsa and I guess if you are indeed a vegan you will like this.Three-way sisig- I loved the dish. Individually the taste is just as it is but when you blend iton the sambal rice. There is a blend on the taste that makes you eat more.Verdict: Impressive ambience. Good food.

Huge serving for the price ❤❤Salad of the week-the ranch dressing tastes like lady's choice sandwich spread 😥3-way sisig is ❤Skewers-a bit dry but the meat is tenderFried chicken-👍 but for me it doesn't match with the tamarind sauce.I love the rice!❤They forgot to serve the malunggay pasta, but we just had it for take away coz' we're so full already😂I'd still come back here for more & try other dishes.

Taco shell serving was big. But something is off with the meat used. Also, all the meals I tried (except the chicken) tasted like garlic. The chicken was the only thing normal that kept me eating. The coffee served looks good, but not really my cup of coffee (tasted something like it was brewed with some hard drinks?). On the other hand, the ambience was really good, very artsy.

The book cafe with a twist! They offer unique filipino food, delicious vegetarian friendly meals, and also they have Filipino favorite drink mix like lambanog. The food was delicious from the appetizer up to the dessert. If your looking for a good place to stay and just relax and enjoy the mood. Order some food and drinks at buku buku kafe.

Would give 5 stars but the serving time is SOOOOO LOOOONG :( Don’t eat here when you’re already starving. My go to is beef rendang ❤️ Food is amazing!

Honestly, when in SM Southmall it is hard not to miss Buku-Buku Cafe. From frontage to interiors, the overall vibe of the cafe is super inviting... especially to young artists. The creativity of the place is overflowing, sobrang energy boosting.Good thing their food matches the top class faćade. They have asian cuisine with a western twist. They have the nostalgic food choices like Laksa, Sisig Nachos, Pesto pasta etc, which I’m sure you would enjoy. My top faves where the Sisig Nachos, super generous serving and the mixture of cheese and sisig is the best! It’s good for 2-3pax (barkada size) but I’m sure one is enough (haha jk). Their Tjree-way sisig is an eye-catcher as well. It is a combination of pork, tofu and fish, place on a sizzling plate, with egg in the middle. Owner recommends we add kalamansi to boost the flavor. For the drinks, I had their mocha float - coffee with tablea chocolate, and whip cream on top. It has a bittersweet taste at first, but once the whip cream sips through, the sweetness arises. Oh, their water is super cute. They have this ombre glass mug, that makes their water looks so fancy ❤️

Brings me back to my school days where passing Math exams, finishing a long overdue project and getting rid of my pimples are my huge problems. Lol #nostalgia #bringmebackA version of Maginhawa's Sev's where open mic happens, its refreshing to see a piece of Diliman in the South. Panalo! They also host exhibits, events and workshops of different kinds, you may call them for venue availability and future engagements.Asian fusion - with a lot of twists! This is how I will describe @bukubukukafe 's menu. The flavors from different Southeast Asian countries rolled into one is something interesting to explore-- their specialties and best sellers are the best, two thumbs up 👍👍! Especially their 3-way (tofu, tuna and pork) Sisig, Malunggay Pesto and theirversion of Laksa (curry and spices are just enough to give that right kick plus all the add-ons that made it a really filling option), in a huge bowl! Mouthful! 🍜😱..Rating: 10/10 highly recommended! 🤩🤩..For reservations you may call02 8805463202 8001356

We had nasi goreng, pad thai, beef rendang.Over all good experience. Good for sharing un mga portions.Super loved the beef rendangz. My dad na picky eater loved it. Simot pati sauce. The nasi in the nasi goreng was yum pero the chicken and pork satay was dry. Medj overcooked for my liking. The pad thai was good but nothing spectacular. Their service was great too. Kasi party of 3 kami. And they server said that the nasi goreng and rendang came with rice na good for two. Obviously too much rice for us 3. So they suggested nlng to change the rice to mixed veggie.Thought that was superb! And we had extra portion of veggie to munch on.Happy and super busog!

Buku-Buku Cafe is the text book definition of an Instagram worthy cafe’. If “Instagrammable” was an actual word in the English dictionary, a picture of this cafe would be right there beside the definition. The theme of the cafe design is a segmentation of of past, present and future art. The interiors (look up to the ceiling) are lined with the owner’s memorabilia, mostly old books, hence the name of the establishment. Enough about the visuals, what caught my interest is that beneath the chic and artsy feel of the establishment is a menu packed with Asian heirloom dishes drizzled with delightful twists. Among the lot of clear favorites are:1.) Chicken Skin Nacho Bowl with Sriracha Mayo Sauce. Nowadays any dish smothered with sriracha sauce is considered bold and experimental. This one though is comfort food on steroids (sriracha). Rhe Deep fried chicken skin is a home run for me no matter who’s batting. The sriracha just makes it more balanced and less overwhelming. The sauce will literally get you to finish the rich and sinful bowl. 2.) Three way sisig (Tofu, Tuna and Pork) - This is a sampler for a culinary diverse click, a portion for the vegan, pescatarian and of course the carnivore. A noteworthy sampler appetizer.3.) Sinigang na baka sa Gata - Somethings aren’t supposed to work and go together, but there are times that they do. When they do it normally sweeps you off your feet. It’s fall off the bone melt in your mouth beef brisket stewed in tamarind and coconut milk. The tang of the tamarind hits a delicate balance with the richness of the coconut milk. The beef brisket rounds off the taste profiles, giving a salty and savory character to the stew. If the beef brisket doesn’t get you the coconut stew perhaps will (I will let you interpret this). The trip remade my notion if the best place to dine in SM Southmall, before it was wrought by pedestrian confusion with the limited option, now there is a clear winner.

We ordered the laksa, Curry is not over powering and the streetfood on it really taste good, nasi goreng is always our choice, and we tried the skin tacos, like heaven. Something new but addicting since we live chicken skin a new twist. Will surely try new food on our next visit.
