We am Italian and when I choose Italian food I'm certainly demanding. Properly, the food knowledge in Tosca was basically excellent. Getting into the premises we discovered the chef: a genuine Italian from Milan. He kindly released us the menus and assisted usin the decision of a definitely tempting list. Ultimately, we settled on an appetizer of small sliced octopus with essential olive oil, chilly flakes and arucola salad associated with bread and delicious dips. The appetizers had been absolutely worth, clean and refreshingly mediterranean. As an initial course a bowl of spaghetti with vongole (clam shells) and something of tagliatelle tartufate (with truffle and mushrooms). The spaghetti alle vongole had been the best I ever endured in Manila: "al dente" with the proper level of garlic (i.electronic. not really much), essential olive oil and a sizeable level of vongole. The tagliatelle had been a genuine surprise: handmade with an excellent somewhat creamy truffle and mushroom sauce. As main training course grilled lapu lapu fillet (grouper, or cernia in Italian) associated with combined salad in vinaigrette: an excellent choice. The chef provided us also an example of special "porchetta", that is roasted piglet standard of the Rome hill countryside: fantastic ! We'd some prosecco and pinot grigio, both of excellent quality. The restaurant itself is ok, dimmed lights, quiet and welcoming, but not particularly romantic. The assistance was average: employees is very kind however, not overly attentive. The loaf of bread and the dips, which in Italy usually come immediately, arrived following the appetizers. Your wine was also a little in delay, specifically the pinot that has been supposed to include the fish. The ultimate price was absolutely good, in view of the entire quality. We shall certainly go back !

It is a excellent eating place but completely empty. I don't believe another table had been occupied while we have there been. By enough time we left there could have already been another small team but I'm not certain should they were visitors or a few of thestaff having a gathering. At any price the food has been descent but I don't believe I would return due to the high cost. You can find so many Italian areas around town which have much better fare for an improved price. I acquired the maltagliati that was okay. It's generally a lasagna and I've had better variations of this dish. My partner experienced the risotto con salsiccia that was good but just a little salty for her flavor. The rum dessert had been too strong. The very best part of the dinner has been the tiramisu but I'd not return simply for that.

Had supper here this August. I has been searching for a Reataurant along Glorietta and didn't want it in the mall so we chosen Tosca at the Dusit Thani resort. The Italian foods was good nonetheless it appears like this Resto will be beingor undergoing some type of rehab.

I seldom gave 5 star because i've eaten in lots of excellent locations and the typical becomes pretty high currently. I'd rate this eating place as excellent due to the authentic Italian food preparation of pasta and pizza. They have even limoncello that is a traditionalItalian beverage, this lets you know how series they would like to make the area authentic. I actually tried the vongle (furthermore the typical try to equate to other italian cafe), the crab roe pasta, the four cheese pizza and the squid ink pasta. All are great! The chef, Maurizio Gibillini, is from Milano. Extremely friendly and has experienced the Philippines for over 15 yrs. If you are searching for authentic italian meals and is just about the area, i'd highly recommend one to attempt. For foreigner, the area is affordability.
