me personally and my boyfriend celebrated his birthday celebration by way of a late lunch in SumoSam Greenbelt (they don't really have 1 listed for Makati within TripAdvisor yet). we had been lookin for a lighting meal since he nevertheless had a need to hang out along with his close friends and cousins afterwardsand our fave japanese resto at Greenbelt (Nanbantei) isn't yet open up so we made a decision to give it a try for the very first time. the ambience was perfect, normally you'd feel intimidated by the "expensive" aura of the area when eating at a fine-eating restaurant, but here it feels relaxed and our server "Dan" was quite accommodating to your needs (a/c adjustment, complimentary very hot tea, glass of water for every of us, spoon/fork rather than chopsticks, etc). i assume it had been partially because there have been simply us and another handful of guys dining in those days (3pm onwards). we attempted their pork gyoza (5pcs), salmon stomach (5pcs round the same dimension as gyoza), salmon steak (according to the meal i'd say it's best for one but we shared) and a plate of japanese fried rice (meal good for 2-3 individuals by the appears of it) - light dinner, lol! we weren't dissatisfied - food tasted great nonetheless it wasn't 'that' unforgettable, not at all something you'll crave for in some time. our bill was well worth the food and encounter though, it had been around P1600++ including several bottomless red-colored iced tea. they will have this complimentary warm tea which actually helped since we had been actually stuffed. we were likely to have a free of charge dessert because it was his birthday celebration but we pointed out it past due (Dan asked for the names and was really interested on what our dining experience proved) - we were furthermore in a rush. Overall, it's two-thumbs up because of this place and we'll definitely visit again.

Section of a chain, 3 folks had lunch on excellent sashimi, ramen, uni sushi, and fried oysters for just two 2,100 pesos. Support was attentive but has been obviously in training. Would return back.

as the name suggest being truly a Japanese restaurant...We think it is not real... however, this is a good deal with where a flavor of Filipino is within their "Japanese" menu

First time to go to Sumosam inside EDSA Shangrila Mall. We purchased our “typical” from the menus. Ramen with pork has been no more hot when it had been served. Dissatisfied. Dragon Roll and Spicy Crunchy Tuna had been okay. Chicjen terrayaki , Tonkatsu and donburi had been till theirbest wagers. Ebi tempura okay. Somehow, Sumosam Glorietta appears still the very best ib foods prep, freshness, and provider. EDSA Shangrila Mall’s support was a little slow despite just a few tables becoming served whenever we arrived.
