Had a celebration for our dad. The event room was horribly sizzling. Our guest had been sweating. Service has been poor. Food had not been appeasing. Won't recommend this.

Visited Salu following hearing many good stuff about the spot from my Filipino friends. The idea of getting the delicacies of every area of the Philippines in 1 restaurant was excellent! Filipinos is definitely territorial about their foods and their cooking designs so tocater to virtually all under one roofing made the experience of the foreign traveler even more unique! While I cannot name the dishes which were served if you ask me, the images will tell it's own tale. Each and every dish was handpicked by Nick and our assigned server and ALL were delicious! It was a nice surprise that the dog owner sat with me throughout when i sampled each dish and explained the laundry if you ask me, where they result from and the uniqueness of the region they come from. As a travelling businessman I must say i appreciate it whenever a fellow business proprietor takes the period to build relationships along with his clients. We chatted quite a long time on other matters aswell and I must say i enjoyed his company. Dear Nick, the heat, kindness and generosity you've showered me informs me of the type of person you are in mind. I'm truly humbled to possess enjoyed your organization and applaud the genius behind the makings of Salu. I wish you as well as your team all of the success in future! Till we meet once again!

This place serves an all Filipino dishes from all around the archipelago. Some are usually familiar, some aren't, depending on what area you hail from. If it appears and tastes acquainted yet not, that’s since they have place a twist on some meals. Thank goodness, bagnet had been as crunchy just how we enjoy it :) It’s a little pricey compared to quite a few Filipino Restos that people are used to. Very spacious and an excellent parking area.

Salu is different from your own average Filipino restaurant for the reason that they assist regional meals that otherwise simply usually fly beneath the radar of all. The three main islands are represented nicely in their menu, and you will never fail with some of their offers. We'd bagnet that is crispy simply as it had been succulent, insarabasab from Ilocos that was perfectly tangy from getting cooked with vinegar, gising-gising, crispy tawilis and pansit bam-i. Every one of them were great. Another thing that's of note is definitely their fusion of Filipino flavours. For instance, their binagoongang lechon kare-kare is really a mix of three dishes--and it blends properly without trying too much. Their hito sisig can be a must-try if you prefer a diffferent undertake that dish. The desserts may also be commendable (we'd taho cheesecake and yema cheesecake, a refreshing twist on pedestrian Filipino sweets). Salu happens to be a place you should check out if you are searching for traditional Filipino foods, along with fusion meals that don't lose their Filipino identification. Dishes are affordable, too.

A MUST-TRY FOR SEVERAL! May you end up being born and elevated in the Philippines, trust me when I state that you have not tasted anything such as this (yet.) For several our beloved vacationers, a must-stop if you are in Manila! Too bad there exists a cap foruploading photos because I furthermore wished to share the décor they have within this homey restaurant. I motivate you to go to to see on your own. Every dish includes a tale. Nick and Harlene tend to be more than welcome to talk about it with you. Therefore don't be shy and have away! As well as the hearty and down-to-earth owners, their employees can be accommodating and friendly. Favorite dishes: *I possess yet to use them all. 1. Binagoongang Lechon Kare-Kare 😃 2. Tiyula Itum (Dark Tinola) 3. Beef Kulma (Filipino Curry of Mindanao) 4. Binukadkad na Hito 😀 5. Particular Pandesal with Calamansi Marmalade Desserts: 1. Brazo de Kalabasa 2. Taho Cheesecake Make sure to bring your friends and relations to the place because almost all their servings are designed to be shared. Nothing at all beats having a tasty meal together with your loved ones. Fun facts: 1. Areas of their eating place are called after Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. 2. They will have a "Filipinas Platter" which has 16 meals from all around the Philippines. In addition, it takes after the form of our beloved Philippines.
