We visited Pages Deli to take pleasure from a good Sunday meal jointly. We attained 11:45 am, and there is one other desk of individuals in the cafe. We ordered the particular taste menu D, that was to add 4 items: achicken breasts filled with goat cheese with salad, a fried seafood over mashed potatoes with tomato sauce & asparagus, napolitean pasta, and apple company pie; we furthermore ordered eggplant parmagiana. We sat for 45 minutes with only drinking water. A salad of lettuce and tomato had been delivered, which acquired a puny three 1x1 inches smoked turkey slices, but the delicious bacon vinegrette. quarter-hour later my calamansi fruit juice and my husband's mango shake arrived. 20 mins later the waiter delivered a german sausage on a roll. We informed them that was not really what we purchased. The seafood and eggplant parmagiana arrived 20 minutes later--frosty. To be reasonable, the seafood was delicious--with nutmeg and another seasoning I couldn't recognize. The four asparagus had been 1/8 inch thick and 3 inches long without heads. After waiting another half an hour they were nearly to create the pasta dish. I questioned for all remaining meals to be placed in containers for remove. My pasta sat on the counter with flies buzzing around and onto it for another a quarter-hour while they ready the slice of apple company pie. If they gave me the handbag with the meals, I asked if everything was within. "Indeed ma'am." Had been the chicken white meat inside? No, you're provided the salad with turkey slices! A salad with three bits of 1x1 turkey slices will not equal a chicken white meat filled with goat cheese with salad. The price because of this horrible experience? 700 pesos for the flavor menus, 300 pesos for the eggplant parmagiana, 85 for the calamansi fruit juice, and 80 for the mango shake. That they had the gall to include a 10% service cost! Our experience had not been unique. Individuals at two some other tables which emerged in after us had been experiencing similar issues with their orders not getting what they requested. Stay away from this establishment.

Whenever round the Shang/Mega area, my boyfriend and I head to this deli for a few good meals and a quiet spot to relax. Very little people click here despite being proudly located on the streetscape. It's quite unnoticed instead of the othercafes located close to it. SERVICE The service we will often have is alright. The waiters/waitresses always provide a hot and comforting smile. According to the foods ordered, sometimes it requires time. After they forgot to provide us our Cheese plate however the waiter profusely apologized for this. AMBIANCE It's amazing although you can find just a few tables inside of and another couple of on front. But soon after stepping in the deli you'd spot the road noise drown out. Well known location is in the part booth-which may be the only booth given that I think about any of it. All around you'd notice faux ripped-out book web pages and old handwritten quotations from famous textbooks. It type of reminded me the best film as a child-The Pagemaster. And the songs is performed subtly in the backdrop so you could speak to your organization. It's quite romantic in fact and when you appear outside you'd see individuals walking pass by. FOOD Their menu is fairly interesting nevertheless the food itself is not actually to-die-for but it isn't bad either. The best so far will be their eggplant parmagiana then one else with the asparagus. The majority of their cheeses had been also good, certainly imported for most. Overall we head to this place because of its atmosphere and relaxing atmosphere following a day of purchasing or travelling the area. * Shang happens to be doing some renovations the final period we passed by, uncertain if the deli is open up.

We visited the area away of curiosity. The area is fairly small and crampy. In case you are a huge person choose the desk outside. We purchased the salad with papaya cubes, it had been okay and something fresh. The hungarian sausage appetizer is certainly disappointing, considering itis very pricy( 5 to 6 pcs 5 peso coin size but thicker expenses around 500 pesos), after all provided that the flavor is sumptuous no issue. We furthermore ordered pizza and major dish, i must say i can't recall anything to spell it out the flavor because there is really nothing exclusive to remember. They need to reinvent the menus if not they wouldn't last per year...

We visited with The Spouse on a Saturday evening, curious that the area was almost deserted, as the German joint (Brotzeit) nearby was literally filled with patrons. We had had an early on dinner, thus we wanted something lighting to consume, paired with good wines. The cafe, while stylish, is cozy, as stated by other reviewers, only 2 tables inside if I'm not mistaken. There are some tables placed outside. The white wine we wanted was approximately P250 for a glass, so we ordered a complete bottle rather for P860. The meals selection was fairly restricted though, and regardless of the time, we went with the Big Breakfast set, that was 2 fried eggs, turkey ham and spinach with 2 slices of bread. Your wine arrived almost instantly, as the eggs were presented 10mins later. Our waiter, who was simply polite but timid, had heated up by right now, and ended up being pleasant fellow who did his far better help make us comfortable. We treasured him. Now, we had experienced Manila for a couple days and have been somewhat dissatisfied with the meals we had eaten so far. Simply put, the meals lacked...flavor. The flavours had been muted, textures weren't quite right, sugar has been liberally sprinkled when minimum expected, freshness had been suspect, and so forth. However, not our Big Breakfast place. The final time I had like tasty yet simple foods has been in Tokyo. Eggs fried in essential olive oil, garlic, with turkey ham and vegetables (the horror...!!!) basically shouldn't possess tasted so good. But we liked it thus much that people ordered another group of the BB. Your wine was excellent too. Dessert was a big slice of cheese cake regardless of people requesting for a little slice. I believe this is because the unsmiling dude behind the pastry counter got finally decided that people were friendly in the end. Our reward was an enormous easy, served with an enormous smile. The Wife loved the cheesecake, although I came across it to be somewhat sweeter than I'd have liked. Halfway by means of our meal, the eating place had chock-full and the tables outdoors fully taken. Mainly locals, nicely dressed for a particular date, who had arrive for dessert and pasta. Therefore, we enjoyed our food immensely. Price? P1600++, that is well worth it.
