Had supper at Mecha Uma tonite with a pal. We thought the cafe had great ambiance. Little and intimate space. Let me begin by saying superb services by the wait staff members. Attentive and exquisite focus on detail. Unfortunately, the food had not been as excellent.85% of the meals served where overwhelmingly sweet to the palate. Tasted similar to dessert than dinner. Individually not my preference. I actually left the eating place a little aggravated and annoyed. The chef had been behind the counter. I don’t comprehend why we where not really served exactly the same items because the two additional tables that furthermore had the tasting menus (needless to say these were locals). There is no set related tasting menu, because the chef decides as you go, if you are a foreigner rather than local, steer clear of the menu as per you won't obtain the same dishes & most likely get other inferior items. Examples: instead of getting served fresh nigiri product pieces and much more simple tasteful items which looked great and this individual served inside other tables, we were served completely overwhelming lovely dishes, of which I actually almost found uneatable. Personally, I would steer clear of the tasting menu if you're unfamiliar with the restaurant or an outsider/foreigner. While I had not been expecting a superb knowledge in Manila, I was expecting descent food. Sadly was disappointed. I regret not buying off the standard menu, according to we were seated looking at your kitchen items being ready and believe we probably would have had a far greater dinner if ordering away from the regular menu. Didn’t take any images, however the food looked very. Or at least a lot of it. :)

Tried the tasting menus, booked 3 weeks forward. Worthy of for the wait. Top quality food. The location isn't big, max I assume fit 40 guests just. Fantastic food. Fantastic display aswell. Limited wine choice. But price and high quality wise is ok

We was recommended to use this location and wow, can't be grateful good enough coz it had been absolutely amazing from support to meals, everything was first class. The chef tasting menus was 4150 pesos per person. Amazing offer for the grade of dishes we gotten. Ilove the creativeness of Chef Bruce and all of the flavors did wonders together. My first bite in to the scallops place the tone for the night time. I knew I would enjoy each and every thing. Each dish was expertly told us by the personnel. Also the chef and sous chef arrived during a training course to explain and state hi. I must say i appreciate the friendliness and warmth from all of the employees. I wasn't even fifty percent method thru and I has been excited just considering coming back. Every dish was well-planned and if you understand Chef Bruce's tale, you will end up even even more impressed by it. The tuna and foie gras "sandwich" was simply so well done. I possibly could have another! My fav of the night time was the Oyster Toast. So many complicated tastes but all effectively combined. I needed to help keep eating it merely to relive the final bite. It had been so amazing! I heard they will have an Uni edition of it.....must try the next time! Another surprisingly refreshing dish was the tempura Japanese Tomato. Refreshing, juicy and sweet. We truly enjoyed all of the dishes. I anticipate coming back and seated at the counter the next time. Kudos to all or any the staff. We actually had an incredible time. Thank you.

I've dined at Mecha Uma 5+ times during the last three yrs, and I am blown away each and every time. Going once again this Saturday. Usually I am at the bar for the tasting menus - an excellent show each time. Chef Bruce will be theman - he takes enough time to describe each dish (components, origins, etc.) and how exactly to eat it. Every bite can be magical. I feel enjoy it compares favorably to a number of Michelin starred tasting menus I've experienced in Hong Kong along with other metropolitan areas in Asia. It really is far and apart my favorite dining encounter in Metro Manila. My one team eating from the formal tasting menus was also excellent - we relied on Chef Bruce to choose a few products for all of us, and he nailed it as normal. Great cocktail list aswell, and a little but well selected wines list.

Dinner from Mecha Uma final Saturday with my hubby, had tasting menus and few beverages for nearly 300 US bucks, we never brain to pay for the nice food, but it is a bad expertise. The tasting menus are including 8 meals, each course isvery little, even the primary course is mini dimension, we compensated 1400 pesos extra for the wagyu, it’s suppose to function as main course however the dimension is unbelievably small. Actually pricey for what it really is.
