Just Plain Poor. It is a newly opened restaurant on the G/F in the refurbished section of Market Marketplace Mall close to the mall entrance to the wet market. It really is a significant big restaurant, generally decorated and seating includes bench seating plus some smartlooking chairs that i suspect will age quickly judging by the materials used. Personnel were quite nicely dressed, the airconditioning has been fine and the area was clean. There's a lot of parking and open public transport. Section of a chain of Mandarin Sky restaurtants. It is a supposedly cheaper restaurant within an old mall where most dining places serve junk food. Cheaper Chinese dining places in Manila makes little effort to make genuine Chinese food (I've lived here for 15 years) therefore i was expecting basic meals only but this location really appeared to have little concept about Chinese meals at all. I resided for 25 yrs in Hong Kong, ate dim sum/Chinese foods very regularly and make some Chinese meals myself. I was going to with my adult child at lunchtime on a weekday and there have been just a few customers present. Staff were polite, one glass of slightly chilled water has been quickly served, alongside Chinese tea, the latter carefully poured by way of a waiter. The issue was it is a scorching country and slightly cold water will be better if it had been iced and the tea had been hot and light dark brown but lacked any flavour. The broccoli in oyster sauce arrived rapidly however the vegetable was hard and the sauce experienced not a lot of oyster flavouring. The siopao had been lacking in flavour, I possibly could not really finish mine and neither my boy nor myself could consume the rest. The siomai had been chewy and salty and as the beef balls in fact got some flavour, their jelly-like consistency totally spoilt them. We didn't order any longer, paid the bill that was expensive for the grade of foods served, and left. Just plain poor, also by local standards because of this kind of restaurant. But a problem is that regional Filipinos have already been served low quality Chinese meals (in budget restaurants) for so a long time that they believe that it is normal which is the sad component as there's little pressure to improve standards. Occasionally a fresh restaurant serving Chinese foods makes an attempt and see my record on the Tim Ho Wan, Uptown Mall in-may 2017; this is simply not marketing but demonstrates that whilst mediocrity isn't exactly unusual right here, it isn't inevitable.

This restaurant is situated in a higher side of the Ayala Mall serving authentic several Chinese menu, Great choices at great prices. We'd the dim Sum poultry feet that is to die for, Minced Pork Eggplant, Cereal Prawn( that is 160 pesos per item),broccoli in oyster sauce, and Sliced Beef with Ampalaya.
