In Manila for 6 times from our house in Davao Town, we wished to maximize our remain and spend quite a few quality period with my youngest brother and his family. A Sunday lunch time and bonding had been the program. But where? Baguio! We've not traveledthe SCTEX however so off we proceeded to go arriving in Baguio at Mama's Table in under 4 hours! We'd plenty of time to imbibe the awesome Baguio atmosphere and admire the welcoming landscapes around Vicky's home cafe "Mama's Desk." We felt like exclusive guests with the eye that Vicky lavished on us, explaining just what was inside our soup, our salad and the particular dressing, how exactly to eat our seafood, our entree of roasted rack of lamb and 3 desserts and fruit.. Oh this is after we had destroyed our appetizers served prior to the fireplace! I cannot perform justice to the meals so just appearance at our images of the meals and satisfied guests!

Had heard a whole lot about Mama's Desk, including from my very own hubby who had supper there with colleagues per month ago. We went for lunch and finished up having a soothing afternoon with ideal Baguio weather. The house is very elegant however relaxedwith a lovely garden. Our dinner began with an array of dips and breads, which Chef Vicky Tinio Clemente had been surprised we 'demolished' thinking of there have been only 5 inside our group. She takes a the least 6 guests to open up her house, but our 6th companion has been stuck on the highway. Eight programs followed. Amuse bouche had been an egg frittata with onions & gruyere introduced in egg cups w/ anchovy toast. Next has been asparagus soup offered with chevre on crostini. Loved the chevre and acquired the talk about of our absent 6th companion. Third program had been a crab cake. Fourth training course was cod which demonstrated some Canadian and Japanese influences (maple marinade and a Japanese pickle privately). Fifth was a thing that appeared as if a wonton with cheese and the guava pass on from Cafe by the Ruins. 6th has been lamb for my companions and tenderloin for me personally (I don't usually eat lamb unless I'll starve to death easily don't). Seventh had been a salad motivated by the tastes of Turkey (with oranges and dates). Chef Vicky explained that people were getting the salad following the meat course, because the French do, since it is way better for digestion. I'd agree when i didn't feel overly complete after seven classes. The final course has been dessert of apple company strudel and ice lotion. A little large for me therefore i just had Benguet espresso and baleucha (a sweetener that's like the best tira tira from my youth which can be liked as a candy or blended with your beverage). Wouldn't normally hesitate to recommend Mama's Desk. For the total encounter, it is affordable (P1500/head). Superior to meals I've experienced in overhyped restaurants.

I will will have the fondest remembrances of Mama's Desk. Chef Vicky welcomed us into her house with so very much warmth inside our hearts and our tummies. I strongly suggest this location for intimate gatherings and celebrations. The meals was delectable, expertly made by ChefVicky needless to say. And the see from her backyard! Priceless! Ideal! In order to get the sense of the older Baguio City, that is IT. Many thanks Mama's Table when planning on taking us back home..

I heard about Mama's desk from my pal when they found Baguio to go to the landmarks here. She mentioned that Mama's desk was an extremely fine dining place. When it has been out time and energy to visit Baguio, my children made a decision to try here. Thankfully,it had been awesome. Filipino meals are on the menus and the assistance was excellent. I thank my pal for recommending Mama's desk :)

It is a semi-private degustation experience. Chef Vicky’s location is amazing! The home is nestled along with a hill. While looking forward to your appetizers, it is possible to move out in the stunning garden and ingest the mountain watch outside. On an excellent day, youwill end up being above rolling clouds. The meals is professionally ready, it’s a complete course set up so skip breakfast or lunch time as you'll be really complete after eating right here. Portions are usually good also for hungry sailors. That is strictly by reservation and at the least 6 persons to dine in unless of course chef vicky has already been cooking for another group then maybe she'd allow an inferior group.

I actually tried to get in contact for reservations well in advance. I had to use several numbers because the majority are not up-to-date. When I lastly got the right amount, I was met having an angry tone and intensely past due responsesas if my inquiry had been such a large inconvenience. Don’t bother, it had been honestly more difficulty than it’s probably worthy of.

Fine dining as the finest. French cuisine galore. The area can be perched on a hill that overlooks the tough mountain terrains of Benguet. Spectacular view that's escpecially when lurking round the garden. This location can be an old mansion converted into an event's location whereChef Vicky arises with succulent gourmet cuisine. I discovered a lot out of this expertise as she was right now there to give a small amount of a background tale for all the meals she had to work. We'd an 8- course supper while we are dressed up in our official attires. For all your effort, the purchase price per individual is affordable. Strongly suggested specifically for that once-in-a-lifetime occasion that you could splurge.

We ate here for a special birthday. The ambiance is indeed nice. We received period to explore the house while the chef ready our meal. The dinner is definitely sumptuous. The chef described each food before we tasted it. The chef is indeed accommodating. Wehad a great time. However, our lunch time lasted fro three hrs! imagine that.
