We were travelling to Oslob after out flight from Manila and called in to have some late lunch. We were keen to have some Cebu lechon. I had the spicy lechon whilst my wife had the plain lechon. Mine was delicious and quite lean whilstmy wife said hers contained more fat. Other dishes we tried included kilawin and pinakbet. Overall dishes were very good.

On our way to the ferry to Dumaguete City,we stopped at The House of Lechon, one of a number of branches in this city known for the best Lechon in the Philippines.I suppose that will be debated about as like everything else in the Philippines Therestaurant was clean, large and sleek for Philippine standards. The help was friendly, somewhat attentive and came with what we ordered. We of course had Lechon(sliced roasted pig} a Philippine favorite with a crispy skin that Filipinos try to commit murder to get a piece of .So many slaughtered pigs that someday the Philippines will run out of them. The Lechon was terrific, succulent, sweet and downright great.. We had Kinilaw the Philippine version of cerviche.Raw fish hopefully fresh in a vinegar with calamansi little lemons squeezed in and a few other spices. This was delicious. We had Pansit the famous Filipino noodle dish with tid bits of shrimp, chicken.beef and whatever is around, this is a time consuming dish and was okay.If you want great Pancit marry into a Filipino family. We had Dinuguan. This dish is for the bravest Filipinos and any crazy others like me.It is the blood and intestinal organs of the pig,not exactly kosher. It was not as good as what we get in New Jersey.Skip it and go for something else.We also had greens Iguess they were okay as this happened a while ago.All in all this restaurant is well worth the visit.

Lechon is one of the Filipino "Must Eat" delicacies that you should try when visiting the Philippines. If you live in America, then you may have tried Lechon if you attended a party hosted by Filipino friends. Believe me, though, Lechon tastes so much betterin the Philippines. Specifically, I think Cebu makes the BEST tasting Lechon in the world!! For those of you who do not know, Lechon is a whole roasted pig!! A true Filipino Delicacy!! We stopped in at the House of Lechon in Talisay, Cebu to try their version of Lechon. They make a regular Lechon and a spicy Lechon. Both taste fantastic!! Love the mixture of spices they use to make such flavorful lechon!! My favorite was the Spicy Lechon!! It was the best I tasted during our 3 week trip in the Philippines. I tried about a dozen of them!! Hey, there were a lot of parties that we attended and each one served lechon. Anyways, the House of Lechon in Talisay, Cebu is a wonderful place to try this popular Filipino delicacy! Their restaurant looks great inside. Beautifully decorated and the staff was awesome!! 5 stars for the House of Lechon!! They know what they are doing here!!

Crispy and flavourful Lechon greets travellers. We came from Moalboal & thoroughly enjoyed this branch that was aesthetically decorated, had polite & welcoming staff. Scallops on the small size but tasty after slathering butter & garlic & cheese. Kinilaw was good and so was theclam soup & crispy kangkong. All reasonably priced. I would go back to taste the well seasoned lechon.

They served us truly cryspy lechon! We also ordered their crab meat in coconut cream but the portion turned out too small like in a saucer size.Canned drinks at php 80 each. The rice was served in cute miniature pots which created cuteness discussions andIG/FB posts...will come back anytime when headed to the South of Cebu...
