This is actually the Japanese restaurant that replaced the Indian restaurant near Union Church of Manila. I prepared my wife's surprise birthday supper with buddies and chose this cafe due to the proximity to the church. It's pretty new therefore i wasn't expecting very much in termsof the program but I prayed that the meals be at least right. What I liked about Donbao is that their rice bowls (which range from Php240-290) have unlimited rice! Great deal specifically for a rice man like me. Their Maki (Php225 if my memory serves me correct) servings are large, one order is sufficient for six folks who had been there for dinner. There is also ramen choices but we weren't in a position to attempt them out. But this eating place is definitely worth another visit in my own books.

We ordered the ninja roll and spicy salmon roll and also the gyoza. Unfortunately they didn’t bother to Blot out the essential oil therefore the sight of the essential oil alone left people queazy. Both rolls were OK but were so losely rolled a poke withchopsticks still left the slices in messy chunks.

Very poor service. - food came out later (we were completed eating already) and incorrect with an excessive amount of excuses on why the katsudon has been chicken rather than pork. - staff (guy) had not been that friendly and didn't put the food before theone who purchased it and made a justification that hindi ko alam sino nag purchase eh and simply had it offered by our co-workers at the advantage of the desk and didn't even inform us that the bowl had been very hot. - my poultry teriyaki was hot however the rice was cold. - understaffed hence the countless mistakes (the two 2 servers were furthermore the cashier and the cleaners) Bao was great though - Crazy Bao and Piggy Bao
