Got a reunion here along with former colleagues, and in every irony, like all the places in your community, is exclusive and cozy. You anticipate any place to consume along Maginhawa to end up being kitschy/ artistic/ creative but still offer great foods at reasonable costs. Cocina Juansatisfies all specifications. We went for Saturday lunch time, and the area was quiet, furthermore casual and unpretentious. There have been original contemporary artwork and retro decoration strewn inside. It's along Maginhawa but is actually unassuming (study: a tad difficult to acquire!). The menus has something for everybody. We purchased potato wedges (3 x, because we kept completing it off- that great!), and different grilled meats. I purchased the lamb chops that i would've preferred a little more tender, but it really was actually tasty. Servings are insane massive, and the chimichurri sauce divine. They cook the meals upon purchase, so expect a wait. Be prepared to pay around P 500++ per head (around USD 10)

We have been a fan of the place since 2008 if they were nevertheless known as Kusina ni Maria to Kusina ni Juan and today to trendier Cocina Juan. My boyfriend and I experienced a wonderful date right here one afternoon. Although they appeared like they simply openedtheir doorways at about 10am they cordially invited us in and happily got our orders. The house preferred will be their Dynamita. I got my first taste of the here back '08 and I have been purchasing this to comparable restaurants, but nothing comes even close to how they take action here. Theirs is prepared perfectly - less oil on slim wrapper, really spicy natural chilies, and generous level of melted cheese. I furthermore attempted their Pesto pasta that is completely flavorful. Since my boyfriend and I are simply power eater, we usually like restaurants with huge servings. Sadly, this is not among those places. Individually, I was dissatisfied by the pasta helping. Although, the Wet Burrito had been big enough, still you can see from their helping, regardless of the price, is simply best for 1 person only.

My Cocina Juan knowledge is fairly a memorable one-for hilarious and story-telling-worthy reasons. The place is fairly small, it could probably seat around 15 people max at the same time (as well as less) in the restaurant, although you can find tables outside. It shares the area withCupcake by Gremlins. I love that the servers had been quite polite and accommodating and their suggestions were topnotch. My boyfriend and We ordered the next: CHURRASCO DE GUATEMALA - Awesome dish. Really delicious. I'd order this again! QUESADILLA CON TOMATE - That is like your regular cheese quesadilla, but We liked the refreshing flavor of fresh tomatoes with every bite. Their salsa is fairly tasty, it was the ideal level of spiciness, also it was really flavorful and fragrant with all the current herbs and spices they used. Really delicious. DINAMITA (chilies filled with cheese) - NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART! Around today, when I appear back again to those cheesy fried peppers in lumpia wrapper, I laugh to myself because I nevertheless cannot think how HOT this dish has been! I could barely maintain my eyes open up when I was feeding on those poppers! I'm used to consuming jalapeño poppers, but that one by Cocina Juan requires the cake to be the latest jalapeño poppers I’ve ever endured in my lifetime. I probably would get back to Cocina Juan, but I would not purchase Dinamita anymore. Lol! I really do like the idea of the eating place, i.electronic., it brings to lighting the lesser-known the different parts of Latin American cuisine, rendering it available to people who have discerning tastebuds on a budget. :)

I am a enthusiast of Cocina Juan. I've made several outings to Cocina Juan. It's the nearest & most convenient restaurant easily want some Mexican meals. This is a tiny location, but it will be this cozyness that's also a elegance. Onregular visits, once the owner/family is not recommended of me and my close up friends' visit, we purchase from the menu. Whenever a buddy who owns the area with her family will there be, we'd been actually fortunate to require additional "embellishment" plus some tweaking to the standard menu. We have been lucky with this particular special treat. I especially like their nachos and all that include it. I have acquired pork, beef and poultry in all types of quality recipes. The potato wedges are great, and are also the salads. The espresso and desserts are usually something one must purchase. It generally does not hurt the pocket therefore much. And finally, it really is like house, where one feels comfy enough to stay all night, nibbling and chatting and simply being oneself.

Tested this place yesterday evening with my partner and daughter as this particular struck me as various across the Maginhawa strip. Scanned the menus and looks fascinating with a good selection of variety. However, whenever we started ordering you can find so many things unavailable.I ordered the medio Burrito and was told just the grande was accessible? WTH is it possible to just slice the pita to a "medio" size? My partner requested for the bebidas and once again, only the Ginger-Basil lemonade had been available. My daughter questioned for something in the primary course just to find out that it is unavailable. Got brewed espresso and its own cold enough never to dissolve the creamer and I inquired if it could be warmed, also it returned scalding hot.
