We went there for a rest from the awesome road food of Manila. Needed a nice meal having an Asian style and a good ambiance. Canton Street delivered. The personnel were all amazing and the meals (with one exception) had been really impressive. You cannot fail with the entrees, we ordered several plus they were all phenomenal. Our appetizer nevertheless, was dreadful. We purchased the Nice and Sour Pork Ribs (which appears like a no-brainer, simple appetizer) nonetheless it was totally horrid. Bland, tasteless,. aside from some weird...off-flavor/nearly flavor that still left you checking the mouth area to ensure you didn't miss several important ingredient - and then discover that you did. Or instead, the chef do. It was somewhere within tasteless and gross. Additional than that, it had been incredible. The Ma Po rocks !. The Spicy Chili Poultry, to die for. And the veggie dishes were all excellent. Don't work with a martini though - nobody in Manila knows steps to make them. Canton Street was no exception.

Good collection of cuisine, reasonable servings. Far better go there with somebody who knows what things to order. A few of the dishes have to pep up the flavour a notch - just a little bland.

Finished up in here because the place all of us chose was full & we want to try the very best 20 restos within manila. We'd seafood noodles, shrinp roll with wasabe dressing, pork stomach wrapped in beancurd, seafood with mushroom & beancurd, hakaw & scallop dumpling. The meals lacks the umami flavor typical of chinese food. The beancurd covered pork tasted like kikiam, the filling is merely pork body fat. the dumpling wrapper will be too thicker..everything is pricy however, not worth the taste & experience
