Showed myself the menu... San Mig Pilsen-p60. Brought me the bill... P63! I said why 63? Menus states 60. The reply had been... "Price will be for Filipinos. For you personally, there is a Foreigner Charge" This is had not been only biased bigotry against my white race, but alsonot the best business practice for resto bar businesses, in Philippines, which are regulated by the Tourist Advertising Board. Avoid and BOYCOTT this location!!

I usually head to Calle 5 at least one time when I'm in Manila. Either solo or experience friends. They will have outdoor seating, foods and about 2-3 bands a night. Their costs are reasonable but be prepared to pay P50 for the enjoyment. If yousit in the outside section you will have a possibility to speak to the band members which often ends up to end up being festive evening.

As another reviewer has stated you may be charged extra to be a Foreigner, I have been here many times before without problems but my last go to will undoubtedly be my last after spending Foreigner Tax. Disappointing as there's some good bandsplaying at times. I won't bother heading back.

Its a good spot to choose drinks and meals. They have great band playing every night. The bands enjoy songs without hassling one to give money every time they play songs. Unlike comedy bars that could make enjoyable of you should they dont obtain anymoney from the clients. I actually proceeded to go there 3 days in a row within my holiday and I must say i enjoyed every night i invested in Calle 5. The only real downfall will be their toilet. Its run-down rather than really attractive. I believe, their toilet facility is going under renovation. Its like making use of open public toliet but worst. Older and dingy toilets. Bring your toilet roll as well. Other than that, it must be class A in expression of foods and amusement.

7 years after my last visit and review, I discover that Calle 5 has taken care of its standards. This is a secure and friendly spot to eat, consume and listen to songs. I think the standard of the meals has enhanced to the stage where Idon't understand of any better location for uncomplicated Filipino foods. I would recommend beef stew, beefsteak, brisket with chili and chicken lollipop. The standard of the bands could very well be not quite as higher as before. They're a little samey and there aren't enough personalities on display. Service is nearly always very good.

Good music, excellent food and stunning waiters. This place rocks ! to have a go out with buddies. The bands have become good and the costs affordable. Also close to casinos. If you request any especific song to the bands remember of a goodtip. And for the waiters as well. It's an routine in Philippines to provide it.

The waitresses are beautiful however, not quite friendly. The male supervisors appears friendlier.. The reside band is as well loud. The place is really a bit warm. Meals is average.
