Thank GOD it's just a couple blocks from my location. I really like their sinigang, paella, and their particular crossover rice toppings. You need to try this if going to the Binondo-Sta.Cruz area. Klassik piney resto

If foodies think they will have tasted morcon and also have never gone to this place, you're sorely mistaken. A flavor of the sauce will be nostalgic of dewey boulevard and melt in the mouth area beef fillet is genuine pleasure.

The true Ambos Mundos Restaurant doesn't have any existing branch at the moment. Loyal patrons would understand the original place in Estero Cegado and Pedro Paterno, Quiapo, Manila. The Florentino Torres Road resto isn't affiliated to the rightful owners of Ambos Mundos Eating place.I heard they are finally opening one shortly! :) More on: http://just-passing-thru.blogspot.sg/2012/05/ambos-mundos-legacy-beyond-marketing.html#.T-BObBeIByU http://just-passing-thru.blogspot.sg/2010/10/defending-family-legacy-ambos-mundos.html#.T-BObBeIByU https://www.facebook.com/AmbosMundosRestaurant

I learned all about Ambos Mundos while researching online. My pal drove us to Sta. Cruz, Manila to get the oldest cafe in Manila built-in 1888. We stopped and inquired queries for directions. We finished up circling around Recto Avenue and Tomas Mapua Road toget to Florentino Torres Road. There were plenty of no U-turn symptoms no left turn signals. We had to proceed 2 blocks to move right to Florentino Torres Road. Whenever we got there it had been a a proven way street, we visited Recto Avenue to show right to get back to Florentino Torres Street. I spotted an open up pay parking great deal and I informed my pal to park right now there and we simply walked to Florentino Road because we weren't sure if there is a parking space before Ambos Mundos. We walked nearly two blocks likely to the restaurant. The area had been dingy and I will suggest never to wear anything extravagant that would attract interest because this place is definitely notorious for muggers and snatchers. Once we entered the eating place, two dark boars greeted us by the entranceway. Just like Wah Sunlight Panciteria (possessed by the Leung household whose descendant is wedded to a Gaudinez); next door two dark boars are put by the entrance. In accordance with my research the proprietors put them there once and for all luck. I requested the waiter if we're able to go upstairs to end up being seated and he appreciated. We received a menu it includes Spanish, Filipino and Chinese cuisine. I purchased the asado rolls and arroz caldo and my pal purchased the pancit canton. When our purchase came, the pancit has been on a large plate good for three to four 4 individuals for a normal size it expenses around 240 pesos (5.69 USD) The two 2 asado rolls had been massive at 75 pesos (1.78 USD) each. The arroz caldo was furthermore in an enormous bowl best for 2 individuals at 129 pesos (3.06 USD) I have to say that the arroz caldo was among the best arroz caldo I’ve tasted. The asado rolls had been very good as well and the pancit canton had been quite tasty. Our total costs was 541 pesos ( 12.82 USD) that i find reasonable. This gastronomic experience can be unforgettable. If one will be searching for history and good foods in Manila, I would suggest Ambos Mundos.

The 1st time I ate here was with my cousin Jay2x who painstakingly walked me completely from Quiapo to the supposedly oldest restaurant in Manila. We were currently almost broke because we purchased things in quiapo but after assessing our collective monies, foundthat we are able to still have an excellent meal (and we do). This is why why I did not really hesitate to steer my partner and kids to the dingy restaurant that i still recognized after therefore a long time (coz of the two 2 dark pigs infront) The meals was ok however the lechon and pancit (and beverages) i ordered all originated from the chinese cafe across the street, I believe I paid two times over for eating right here, easily came over to another place I might have got gotten these for fifty percent the price. This is actually the sad condition of items for the supposedly oldest eating place in Manila. I'm in fact unfortunately that I wont end up being returning there anytime soon, the way the mighty have fallen
