"Hukad" this means "serve" is really a restaurant that acts unlimited rice with a large laddle . The restaurant is most beneficial known because of their Filipino dishes. Actually, they have many branches in Visayas and Mindanao. Well known here includes Tinolang tangigue , crispy pata, adobongkangkong, grilled tuna tummy, pork barbecue and much more. The place is situated inside Robinson's in Dumaguete. So it's convenient specifically for families or friends. The staff are accommodating and service oriented. The cost of foods are reasonable to pricey. Based on what food you purchase.

We dined here twice during our Dumaguete holiday. Food's your normal Cebuano/Visayan fare. Costs are sensible and servings are simply the right size. It is also easily situated at Robinson's Dumaguete. The staff can be very useful and advises you truthfully on the freshness of thefish in the event you want to order new seafood for kinilaw.

Their lechon belly is expensive! You will get the same meals at a lower price. You'll find nothing special with the meals and place.

The food reaches best mediocre. The program was below par. Plenty of personnel roaming the dining area but looking down rather than scanning the dining area to see in case a customer requirements something. I purchased a beef dish suggested by our waiter, he saidit has been beef in a good sauce with veggies. It ended up being, Beef? Tails in a gooey paste like sauce plus some vegetables. It had been disgusting. The appetizer scallops had been great and the garlic rice had been also good. The costs are way to avoid it of line for everything you obtain. I dined at Hukad about 24 months ago and the meals and service was great. It has defiantly long gone downhill.

I've been there three times and will honestly say everything I've eaten has already been very very good. I believe the veggie bicol express is great and essential try(IMHO)! Furthermore the baked scallops had been delicious. service is great and the cafe is quite clean. They carry out get very busy so that it might be a bit noisy for a lot of, Also it isn't "cheap eats" in comparison to mainly Filipino taking in options, but they carry out have their menus posted online aswell.

Plenty of big plates and tables right here, however the flavour of the meals not that great. But everybody knows what occurred to the real Malay food identity once the Spanish and Americanos came. Now what folks call filipino foods is a pretty nastycombination of Chinese blended with bland dull combos of another two, and it's really just as well blah to bother to come back. Not sure who's to be blamed for such boring meals, the Us citizens and Spanish for displacing the indigenous Malay or the Malay for enabling the foreigners to dominate their country and foods identity.

Its honestly an extremely nice place which has great assistance (they were able to keep their great despite the rush hr) their food is excellent and if you need to try neighborhood Filipino food, this can be a good location to take action. If you have a lot of family members and/or friends, it is possible to all eat here given that they hve a functionality room (two longer tables in a relatively secluded section of Hukad) and I assure you they are able to keep their great despite how noisy you or friends and family could be (two hyper children, three noisy teens, an extremely very hyper baby, and several grownups who haven't eaten jointly in per year or two. we had been noisy.) Truthfully I'm becoming hungry whilst writing this review.

Got the scallops and the lechon along with garlic rice and calamansi juice. The scallops had been advertised as bantayan scallops. Having simply been there, I'd say they're on the smaller aspect, and the scallops had been a little tough. Nevertheless delicious. I dislike lechon asit is normally quite fatty. This lechon had been fairly lean and has been infused with herbal treatments. Superb. Garlic rice had been okay. More fried garlic along with basic rice. The calamansi fruit juice was strong, precisely how I love it. Service was pretty good. Friendly ppl beyond your restaurant replying precisely to my queries and attentive service through the entire meal. Only by the end did I've trouble locating the person to cover the bill. I'm still considering that Lechon.

I never likely to eat out there in Dumaguete as of this fairly new location called Hukad (because there furthermore branches We could've tried in Metro Manila) But still, that is worth the visit. Foods was great and aptly priced. Attempt the Tuna Tummy, Sinigang w/ BabyPrawns and their buttery baked scallops. Also, the employees were accommodating and mindful of your preferences. I also enjoy it if they speak in Tagalog because a lot of people we've encountered in the town will turn with their native vocabulary when talking to us.
