I happen to go by the place each time I check out Dumaguete. But, I in no way made the effort to use it out due primarily to its poorly created signage and exteriors. Don't judge a publication by its cover up. Mel's Cafe includes a lively experience andtheir food are very delicious at reasonable costs. I had an excellent helping of pancakes, sandwich, and butter beer.

It's a good spot to go solo or even go with someone special since this place isn't too crowded. I'm not really actually sure should they possess a wifi or not really, but when I proceeded to go there I think they don't really have so whatever you cando is talk to who you're with.

Good variety, and good food, probably the just lasagna bake with Genuine bechamel sauce inside Dumaguete. I like selecting beverages, hot and frosty, ready. The meal was very good, served with time, pasta was a touch too lovely for my flavor (Filipinotrait) nonetheless it was better than typical, the pizza baguette reminded me of Polish "zapiekanka" that was quite surprising.

Read about from your kitchen of Mel's Café from the blog and the testimonials were stellar therefore i went forward and tried it. To begin with, location - ignore Search engines maps because it's incorrect, Mel's cafe is really a short leave from Plaza. Go ideal justafter Resort Nicanor and stroll around five minutes. It's correct across Pasta King and a brief length from 2nd Storey Nail Shop. The restaurant is situated in the next floor and upon entry you can be greeted by way of a small yet artsy-interior. The shades are usually vivid and the eating place borrows elements from well-known Korean-inspired coffee shops. I ordered espresso chops (I in no way liked chicken nor seafood), potato mojos, steamed dumpling, raspberry house-blended tea and butterbeer. The espresso chop tasted okay however the dinner had been ruined by the rice they offered - it had been the hardest rice I've actually tasted. The potato mojos had been a little on the salty part as well. The dumplings are alright but nothing to essentially reveal. What I really liked were the beverages. Maybe, they're tend to be more of a cafe rather than diner, not sure. I've been informed that their best-seller may be the cheesy dory but We never tried that therefore maybe We missed out. Overall, it is a quaint small cafe you as well as your friend can head to for some piece and peaceful. It's rather small therefore unless you have an enormous group dining, you will not have any issues with intimate conversations.
