I got the opportunity to eat at the beginning Kuya J's cafe in Cebu from method, way back just before it became a favorite local eating place chain. Kuya J focuses on Filipino meals from pork dishes like the crispy pata, to seafoods like thegrilled scallops and sinuglaw, to beef meals just like the pochero bulalo Tagalog. There is also a number of vegetable meals and desserts to select from. It's been yrs before I got eventually to try their meals again, this time around in SM Town Consolacion, Cebu where there's branch of Kuya J. We'd a helping of Kuya J Bulalo, lechon kawali and my ever preferred, grilled scallops. Kuya J grilled scallops haven't didn't impress me due to the wealthy, cheesy topping additional with garlic and butter. The lechon kawali (deep-fried pork tummy) was prepared to crispy perfection and produced tastier by the lechon sauce. The Kuya J bulalo had been good but I've tasted better variations in Laguna, Batangas, and Tagaytay. Aviles Bulalo in Calamba, Laguna continues to be topnotch with regards to this wealthy beef bone and marrow soup. Despite having a higher number of guests whenever we visited, support was still quick. Our dining knowledge was enjoyable and Kuya J will be one restaurant I would suggest to anyone who would like to get a taste of great Filipino food.

I liked the atmosphere, the white seats and interior provides neatness to the eye. The lights aswell put into that comfy feeling. "House” is the very clear hunch that Kuya J Eating place wants to draw out. Staffs had been attentive as well. Kuya J’s Crispy Kangkong- We like the Crispy Kangkong’s batter and how it had been fried perfectly. Their dip that was a mayonnaise with garlic has been also awesome aswell. Kuya J’s Crispy Pata - Taste is merely Ok but it includes a strong anise taste which overpowers the organic flavor of the pork. They ought to lessen the quantity of anise. The meats is gentle and tender however the pork skin could be improved by rendering it crispier. My children enjoyed our supper and that's it is important if you ask me although I finished up tipping 500 pesos thought I've given 20pesos :D :D :D

Excellent fililino food. It is possible to tell they try. Try the scallops. However the place would be to cramped and as well loud. After half an hour you wull possess a ringing in your ears, simply horrible. They ought to install audio panels in the roofing or something.
