Touch down Cebu City! 😎 But let's bench the infamous Lechon for a while and appreciate the other fishes in the sea; and I mean literally. I got me a White Marlin off the grill. 98% boneless, smokey bbq flavors squeezing in between those savory fish meat. I am not overselling this, when you go to Cebu, go to Larsians and order their fish. Blue and White Marlin as well as Tuna the size of a Play Station Vita for only 150 pesos, you WON'T get that in Manila! The taste gives a sweet savory bbq sauce that just pleasures your taste buds just the way you like it. They serve 'puso' rice for about 4 pesos each which is the size of a 4x4 Rubik's cube. With the flavorful dish, you won't notice that you had about 10 leaf-wrapped rice to go with it. I also got a few of their grilled longganisa which was quite surprising. It tasted sweeter than I expected (or maybe I got used to the Northern Luzon way of longganisa), but it wasn't at all bad. Their skewed pork bbq gives you just what you expect of it, nothing more.Overall I rate it with their highlights:White Marlin 8.5/10 (size, taste and price)Longganisa 8/10 (sweet and saucy)Bbq 7.5/10 (price and sauce)

Bang for your buck! Meal ranges from P80-P120 per head only. Regular rice is up to 5 Puso! And when you exceed the limit it’s only P4/puso. Grilled pusit is only P200 and it’s enough to get you bloated along with their puso bananza promo lol. Definitely a Must-visit when in Cebu.

Good place to eat legit bbq in the heart of cebu city. The place has a lot of bbq to choose from, you’ll have no problem deciding what to eat since it’s affordable.

This is my 2nd time coming here. The barbecue taste good but not the best barbecue I tried. I love their seafood since there are so many options to choose. The grilled fish and the garlic butter shrimp is the best, however, they are more expensive than food barbecue. Nonetheless, I believe their price is relatively affordable compared to other restaurants. For a street food quality, this is a fine place to go with friends or families. More importantly, I did not experienced diarrhea or food poisoning which is relieving since I was initially reluctant to go there. The only downside is that the faucet water is not working, but the water is already prepared in a tabo (not sure what is it called). I will definitely not used their water to wash my hand since I am OC. Also, there are some annoying flies trying to land our food which we frequently have to use our hand to move them away. I did not experienced like this in Sugbo Mercado IT park and Market Market. Overall the this is a place I will recommend for tourist to try.  It is fully renovated so it is not a dirty place at all.

Well true enough Cebu's best Bbq are found in Larsian ( If you are into sweet bbq sauce). One should not expect however a very clean and peaceful ambiance. The moment you enter you'll be welcomed with shouting vendors claiming all freebies you would get if you choose their stall. Also, be very keen with the computation and try to ask for the prices first before ordering so you could make your own computation. Sometimes some vendors would make false computations where they add higher amounts on your tab.

I suspect Larsian at Capitol Site is where I contracted amoebiasis. My gastroenterologist, who I had to pay P5K to snake up a 5-foot rubber colonoscope up my rear for diagnosis, suspects the same.Larsian is an area with several stalls that serve grilled pork and chicken skewers, usually paired with ‘puso’: Rice cooked inside a pouch woven from coconut leaves. Seafood is also available. The piles of skewered meat are left exposed in the humid tropical climate on stall counters, a surefire way to cultivate all manner of food-borne disease microbes. The stalls also use a grilling sauce, usually a mix of cooking oil and sweet banana ketchup. This sauce is applied with a brush, and the brush contaminates the rest of sauce with whatever microbes the raw meat has. Theoretically, the grilling would kill these microbes.Disease could come from when the grilled skewered meats are about to be served: The skewers are taken off the charcoal and given another slather of sauce. If you must eat at Larsian, ask to forego this final slather of sauce. Watch your food as they grill to make sure.As a dining experience, the food tastes good considering the cheap prices. You eat under a tin roof without walls; you will sweat when the sun is out and get wet in strong rain. On cool nights when it is not crowded, it is reasonably comfortable; all you suffer are the greasy tables and chairs.

I might be exagerating if I say they have the best barbecue in town, I have tasted better... However, its the experience that matters. The best place to eat barbecue + puso (hanging rice) whether you are a lone traveler or with a big group, is here in Larsian. The ambiance or the feel, serves as your appetizer.Take note that the concept of customer service doesn't exist here in Larsian. Don't expect any courtesy from their servers cause they aren't trained for that. There only good at trying to entice you to buy at their stall and after that, you're on your own.Be extra patient as well as it would take at least twenty minutes before your barbecue gets in your table... Worst, the drinks comes five minutes later. Wth.Dining here you'll learn how to eat using barehands. Locals call it, "kinamot", from the root term kamot which means hand. You'll be given a plastic bag for sanitary purposes.

The place is okay if you're in to "turo-turo" style dining. The food is cheap and kinda good. I personally liked the chorizo. However, I was turned off by the fact that they leave raw meat out in the open for a long period of time. It doesn't look hygienic at all. It's nice to try eating here especially for first-timers in Cebu but don't expect much in terms of cleanliness.
