The space could accommodate perhaps less than a hundred people. I definitely love their interiors and room lighting. Cozy experience with warm, friendly staffs. The restaurant has its own restroom. You can call them for reservations as well (no. provided above).

Name of  Establishment: HIKAYLocation: Calyx Building, AsiaTown, IT Park, Lahug, Cebu CityType of Food: Filipino Cuisine (ala carte)Over-all place: Cool, average space, nice lighting, newRating: 4 out of 5 Contact: 032-238-5211 (tel)Facebook:. If you are not a local in the city of Cebu, you might ask what does the word 'hikay' means. In English, it means "food preparation". That's how this restaurant finds its name. It's owned by some of the owners of the Calyx building. It's the main branch in Cebu.

Very good food and very excellent customer service. Monggos and crispy pata are two of my favorites, please add Chorizo Sugbu for a total Cebuano experience.

Excellent customer service and I love their food especially their mongos and crispy pata. If you're looking for a good Filipino restaurant, dine in Hikay.

Hikay is another one of those countless Filipino restaurants currently pervading Cebu's culinary landscape. The term "hikay" (meaning: food preparation) is as Cebuano as it gets. But does it make a mark as impressively as other homegrown restos in the city? A family dinner last Friday night at the Calyx Centre, IT Park outlet was the perfect occasion for us to discover Hikay's strengths & flaws alike. The Good:• The location. Hikay's site is ideal & very accessible. For those with wheels, enjoy free parking at the Calyx Centre basement area. Be sure to have your parking ticket validated at the restaurant.• The ambiance. Warm, well-lighted. The walls, adorned with ukuleles, conical Asian farmer hats & wooden maracas, lend a cozy, native vibe to the place. • Affordable eats. Casual dining eateries at the IT Park tend to be a bit pricey, but Hikay's menu is remarkably affordable. The Not-So-Good:The Food. Small servings. Not fresh. Uninspired.• Sinigang Pasayan, Php 195 (shrimp in sour soup) - the soup was tasty & hot but the shrimps were clearly not fresh & came off as a bit smelly.• Pinakbet, Php 135 (stir-fry mixed vegetables) - average taste, too oily.• Chicken Pandan, Php 170 - passable chicken dish, a lot of my companions weren't so thrilled by its taste.• Crispy Pata-Large, Php 399 (deep-fried pork leg) - another uninspiring dish. Too much bone, quite inadequate for a "Large" serving.• Sizzling Squid, Php 208 - not too bad, just your average squid sizzler.Hikay earns points for its location, affordability & good customer service but these aren't quite enough to elevate it to the top of Cebu's well-loved restaurant chains. Will I be recommending it to friends? Probably, but with a degree of hesitation & bias.

Most filipino restaurants in Cebu has more or less the same taste but not Hikay, They have that at home flavor, which I love. The place is easy to find and has ample parking space(super big plus).  I love their breakfast tapa, bbq (which is all meat yet so tender), seafood monggos (which is one of their specialty, I don't eat seafood or veggies but this is an exception), ngohiong, sisig and more...

Just ordinary taste of food in small servings. Would not highly recommend it to others.👎🏻The ambiance is great though and their customer service is good

Their Gina's special mongo is highly suggested. Great place plus some of the foods are affordable. I will come back soon for more food exploration.

I have tasted quite of filipino restaurants in Mindanao and Luzon. Here in Visayas, the foods in Hikay are highly recommendable. Two thumbs up 👍👍
