I love this place so much (like all other Japanese restos) and I can eat here anytime, any day! I am a sucker for all things Japanese and Chibori is one of my most recommended upscale Japanese restaurants in Cebu. I love the ambiance, it's super cozy and stylish. Their food is to die for. We ordered different sets of meal and I enjoyed everything to the last bite. 3 thumbs up for Chibori. The place is also very convenient as it it situated in the business district of Cebu. Very good job staff very good food.

I heard Chibori's foods are delicious. Their place is comfortable. I might wrong choice. I should have chosen sushi. However I chose Sukiyaki. Because the waitress recommended me. Their beef was very bad. Not delicious and smells bad. I felt I lost my wallet. It was very expensive. If the quality is good, I don't care about prince. That was not real Sukiyaki.

The restaurant was well-lit, clean, and smartly-decorated. It had a relatively high ceiling, and woody-oriental feel inside it which made the place look a bit fancy. The servers were very attentive, looked neat, well-dressed, and they were actually very knowledgeable with the food they are serving. Some of them can even speak Japanese. The service here is very commendable. During my visits here, I was able to try three of their available shabu-shabu sets: the Gyu, Ton, and Kaisen. All of them were delicious in their own right. What I love about Japanese shabu-shabu is the fact that they don't include cheap fishball or squidball looking stuff in your hotpot (in comparison to the Taiwanese or Chinese style). With Japanese shabu-shabu (especially here at Chibori), everything is fresh and of premium quality. This greatly affects the flavor of the soup, of course. I remember after finishing the hotpot and there was still some soup left, we decided to have porridge using the same soup base with the Japanese rice, and then some eggs and scallions. During all these activities, our server assisted us in going through the course of our meals.Aside from the great shabu-shabu sets, I also loved their Yaki Soba which was so tasty, and their Hiya Yakko that felt very healthy and cleansing to the palate. As a whole, this restaurant has been performing quite well during my visits. Also, one can expect much from this place from the fact that it is run by the same group that owns Kushiyaki Chikuzenya and Barikata.

Place and foods are really Japanese inspired, as well as the prices. Interior gives off authentic Japan vibes and their Chicken Nanban won my heart.
