Food tastes okay but the prices are too high for just "okay" food. I noticed that this branch is dirty though. I've seen cockroaches crawling on the chairs.Their ribs are huge but there's nothing special about the sauce. Just your run-of-the-mill BBQ sauce. Other stuff I've tried are nothing to write home about.I'm interested in going back and trying their ube pancakes though but maybe I should visit the main branch. Here's hoping the main branch doesn't house cockroaches as well.

Choosing a restaurant in a mall often times gives us the impression that eating in a tranquil place is all but a fleeting dream. Arguably, the malls are usually not the best place to have those quiet & peaceful meals. Cafe Saree is knocking on the door of the title "Hidden Gem". The place is cozy enough to gather your thoughts so you can focus on your date or just your meal. The Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The food is your typical filipino cafe classics. A little bit of everybody who has colonized the Philippines. The Seafood Chowder stands out as the unsung hero. Though the peppers could have used some sautéing. Sadly everything else really didn't standout taste wise. The Place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The most redeeming factor of having a bite here is how secluded it is from everything inside the mall. You could actually read a book in peace here. Coffee shops in the mall is just one of the most annoying places to be reading a book. The one thing that is annoying though is the shaking when cars pass by because of the proximity to the mall's basement exit. The Service ⭐️⭐️ - Sadly with so much manpower they couldn't even have the service personalized. Except they just congregate in one space. Nothing like a little retraining to get them back on the right track though. I would seriously hate to be here if they get a full house during service. The Value ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - It's nice enough to dine here but it's not really enough for it to standout. The cafe scene has new contenders in the block which isn't really good news for Cafe Saree. Unless they want to be a fleeting dream, they need to step up with the taste and service for it to be deemed of value to the Cebuano Market.Photos by Edcy Joy Moria Follow her on Instagram @edcymelove

Food: Delicious Recommend: Quinoa specials Service: Accommodating Location: Inside Rustans grocery; accessiblePrice: Reasonable; considering the serving size of their quinoa specials I'd say its on the cheap side with lots of flavor compared to other restaurants with bland quinoa specials

[First]This little cafe which is accessible via Rustan's Supermarket entrance is a hidden gem. We ordered the Salisbury steak with egg and onion rings. It was so delicious! It was a generous amount of juicy meat and white rice which could be shared by two people. Their pineapple lemonade was too sweet though. One pitcher could already serve four. Aside from the food, the service was also great! The waitress was very proactive in offering a high chair for my toddler even though I had not asked for one yet.[Second]We've been here for a couple of times already and we kept on coming back to try the rest of the menu. I had a lot of good things to say about their cakes and rice meals but there is one particular dish that caught my attention ---- the Adobo Flakes. It always piques my interest when restos offer a twist to a classic Filipino dish. Besides, I ate something similar in Gerry's Grill but as an appetizer. This particular Cafe Sarree dish just failed to deliver. I finally found something in their menu that I hated and would not recommend to anyone. The flakes looked like strings that reminded me of very thin dried anchovies (dilis). It was somewhat painful to bite into. My tongue and my gums were literally pierced. I did not enjoy chewing on something that felt like thin wood splinters. The texture was bad enough. The taste was worse. The drizzle of sauce did nothing to save it from blandness. Although it came with rice, it felt that it could not stand on its own as a dish. Maybe it could be an appetizer or a side dish or an added ingredient to a main dish.

Been here twice, the food was and always great “but” the service is just plain awful. The staff are too judge-mental and picky to whom they give their 100% service. I may not look like a person with a 6-digit savings but I do pay with what I order and eat. They didn’t greet me like what they did to the others, and didn’t gave the menu right away as well—I had to stare at them for awhile. Their attention-time was also quite delayed. They were just chatting away in the corner while I was here raising my hand for over 3 minutes (an entire song duration) just to ask for a spoon that they didn’t give beforehand. Sigh. Even so, I will still come back for the food no matter how biased their treatment is.

The Putanesca was the BOMB!!! 😍😍 We also can't get enough of the Artichoke and Jalapeño pate and the Chicken Caesar Tartine. Soooo goood! The serving sizes were huge too!

Cafe Sarree is somewhat a hidden cafe at Rustan's. It's not crowded at all and the staff were also accommodating. Their frappe tastes good and they also offer main courses at a reasonable price. This is a good place to have long talks or just "tambay".

I am aware that they have won the best breakfast award. Dined here and there was hair on my food plus they gave me all burnt bread. They shouldn’t be lazy and pay more attention to the quality of their food.

Came here for brunch. If you don't care about having a view then ur okay to eat here.I ordered the chorizo eggs benny and it was the bomb. I'm so happy that it came with a salad versus home potatoes to balance the glutton I consumed lol.
