Food: we tried their Dynamite Sushi and California King roll, Tuna Sashimi, Japanese style buttered chicken and Ebi Tempura. Very satisfied of the food and the servings especially the sushi and tempura. They also have complimentary appetizer and coffee jelly. Place: peaceful not too crowded. The ambiance is perfect fitted with the food that they are serving. Clean and well maintained. Staff: very accommodating and we were all satisfied with the service they are providing. Price: a bit pricey compared to other Japanese restaurant.

I have loved Japanese food even more upon entering this restaurant. I got to try the Tori Bento and it satisfied me more than I expected. My favorite parts are the salad and the miso. The miso soup gloded smoothly along my esophagus and it was so good. I recommend this restaurant to Japanese food loversI blog at kerrph.blogspot.com

FOODThe menu boasts a selection of Sushi and Teppanyaki drawn from Osaka and Tokyo. We ordered four of their bento meals. Their bento meal was enough to satisfy one person's hunger as you can see on the photos provided below. The ingredients were fresh and the food tasted great, cooked just right with just the right balance of flavor.Karaage Bento at PHP 380 - Fried Chicken Thigh fillet with traditional teriyaki sauceTempura Bento at PHP 480 - King Prawns and vegetable tempuraSushi/Sashimi Bento at PHP 590 - Chef's selection of Nigiri Sushi and Maki rolls, assortment of fresh fish slicesTori Teriyaki Bento at PHP 340 - Grilled Chicken Thigh fillet with traditional teriyaki saucePLACELocated right across JY Square Mall in Lahug in a strip mall with an adequate parking space of about 20 vehicles. The restaurant is spacious and offers a separate dining area. There is also a sushi and teppanyaki bar where guests can sit around the chef and enjoy the art of preparing Japanese cuisine. There's also a bar and additional dining tables on the second floor.AMBIANCEModern glass walls but with a touch of Japanese art and culture. I recommend eating at the second floor since it's more exclusive there and quite far from the kitchen smell.SERVICEGreeted in Japanese upon entering. Hand towels were handed before eating. Hot tea is served with free appetizers. All our needs were met at an instant. Servers are very prompt when you need something. Owner is very hands-on. Female servers are dressed in traditional kimono. PRICEA bit pricey, but worth it since other restaurant criteria were satisfactorily met and delivered.CONSSmell of food sticks to your clothing since it's an open kitchen.

A Japanese food feast! Everything we ordered for a late night dinner for two turns an ordinary dining to a feast one dish to another. Started with their unique complimentary appetizer, tea and sweet smiles, i instantly recalled the Japanese warm hospitality. The underpriced big lemonade pitcher followed was really quenching and seemed can serve my family of 8 (and can still have a refill!). What followed after are dishes that are masterfully thought of in presentation and how it will delight palate! Chicken tori teriyaki, sashimi, okonomiyaki and even their Japanese fried rice were all served like art made to leave a lasting impression. Except for their restaurant's interior design that feels like from an ordinary business hotel (not giving much of japanese feels), all else were very solid treat!

My notion for japanese restaurants are most of the time negative because I've always thought that you are paying for much with very little servings. Having dine at Azabu, my negative notion was definitely changed! Food servings were very generous that's really worth the price! Not to mention that their wait staff are the best! Service is quick and fast and you are always taken cared of. They give you free tea that is refillable! They have a lunch menu which already had a cup of rice and miso soup. Not bad for a Php 200 or less meal! Chicken Karaage was the best! It was more than enough for me to consume. Island Rolls are a must try here! You'll definitely have no regret ordering these type of sushi!Would definitely come back here to try their other dishes!
