6thStop #websitexABSCBN #HungerGames #AntipoloFoodCrawlAmong all the restaurants we've visited,  i was really excited for Mogu Tree.  Why?  I've dined x number of times at their Lilac branch and i love their laksa. The Antipolo branch is 10 times better than Lilac.  It looks new and has excellent lighting.  This is the same size as the sister branch,  i count 6 tables.  Same set-up as the other branch... Care for some do-it-yourself noodles?  Yes please!Mechanics.Choose your NoodlesPick your Topping (4 pieces)Select your Broth¶ Pork Chicken Stock (Php 168)¶ Laksa (Php 198)¶ Tonkotsu Shoyu (Php 210)Sounds easy?  Not really,  especially on the Toppings Part.  Waves of indecisiveness will hit you point blank when you see the myriad choices they offer. The wonderful people of MT made our lives 10x easy by making the tough call.  They took cake of the picking x choosing.  And yes,  laksa is one of them. Grub¶ Laksa¶ Pork and Chicken Noodle Soup¶ Pork Asado¶ Spareribs with Taosi¶ Chicken Feet¶ Hakaw¶ Pork SiomaiI will only review Laksa as this is the only one i tried.  Let us start this with a lil history lessonLaksa is a popular spicy noodle soup in the Peranakan cuisine, which is a combination of Chinese and Malay cuisine. Laksa consists of rice noodles or rice vermicelli with chicken, prawn or fish, served in spicy soup, either based on rich and spicy curry coconut milk, or based on sour asam (tamarind or gelugur). It can be found in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Southern Thailand.Source: WikipediaIt will not come as a surprise if i tell you that i love MT's laksa.  The broth is the star of the show.  It is rich and very flavourful.  I taste coconut milk,  curry and tamarind.  The flavor is balanced,  you get to taste all of the elements.  The only beef i had is that it is not spicy enough.  The rest of the gang had the same sentiments about the laksa.  You may take "bias"  of the table. Mogu Tree is a sweet ending to the Food Crawl.  A bowl of steaming,  flavorful laksa to seal the deal.Thank you,  Mogu Tree for your generosity.Thank you,  website.  Here's to more food crawls and calories!Peace Out!~Reich

We dropped by this place after visiting a museum in Antipolo. At first, we thought the place was closed since it appeared dark from the inside due to the tint from the glass but luckily we still tried to dig in.So the place was okay although the aircondition was turned off during our visit. It was a thursday noon and we are the only customers that time so we were at least expecting that they'd turn it on once we started to dine. But they didn't.But we came here for the food. So setting that aside, I'd say that my friends and I were very satisfied with our orders. The flavor was rich and one serving size can even pass for two! We left the place with happy tummies.

Me and my sister went there for a late dinner. I love the idea of this noodle restaurant. We got there late, around past 9pm. We didn't expect the toppings bar to be full coz it's almost their closing time, but still, there are a lot to choose from. Mozzarella cheese balls are my favorite topping. And the soup is served boiling hot. I would appreciate it though if we were informed that the egg can be hard boiled, you just have to wait for a few more minutes. That could have made the experience better. When we got there, there were two customers. Before we left, the place is full of customers. Ganon ata talaga kami ng ate ko pag magkasama kami. Haha

The restaurant was a bit small and had no decorations whatsoever but the food was so worth it! We went there for lunch and it was perfect because it had been raining since morning. I highly recommend ordering extra toppings since it was cheap and the mozarella and crab roe balls are the best of the bunch. The laksa wasn't spicy at all but you could add chili flakes and oil as you wish. Their broth was tasty and the thick cut noodles was delicious. Service was fast and the crew was very attentive to our requests.

My dear and I celebrated the eve before his birthday here :) although it's almost closing the staff are nice enough to extend :) friendly staff esp. the guy and when my boyfie left his eyeglasses when they are closed good thing they are nice enough to open it again and we found it under the table :) yummy food laksa is still my favorite here :) the place is ok -- warm ambiance but could be better in terms of design :) just a chill mode and quiet place when you are in Antipolo :)

Their Laksa based noodle soups are delicious. I went there with my friends and everyone liked their portions. You can choose your noodle, meat, and vegetables that will go with your dish.

FEBRUARY 2017Bed weather = piping hot soup and Mogu Tree was at the top of our head. For this round hubby got the Pork Chicken Stock which tasted like the broth of instant noodles but a notch better. I was a bit hesitant when the Tonkotsu Shoyu landed on the table. I feared that there was soap in my soup with all that bubbly action. The broth wasn't so bad for ramen. We liked this better than the other one.I can't remember which noodles I picked and all the toppings that went into the bowl but my forever constants would be the Mozzarella Cheeseball and Crab Claw. The display looked more abundant than our previous visit and they even refilled while I was constructing our bowls. I wish the servers were more knowledgeable of their food. They couldn't explain the difference between the ramen noodles. The Hakaw had an after taste which I couldn't figure out. I've had better.Servers were attentive and pleasant.Just like before, we requested for bowls so we could cool down the soup. The serving container kept our food really hot throughout the meal.Mogu Tree is ideal for quick, tasty and affordable soup dinners especially during Baguio weather.AUGUST 2015Although i'm not a soup person, i agreed to drive here since i was feeling under the weather. They offer Claypot Rice Dishes, Dimsum and Make Your Own Noodle Soup. We went for the soup.Hubby's Laksa was very flavorful. Spice level was tolerable. I would have eaten this with rice if i were up for it. Hubby couldn't remember what items he picked though.Since i didn't feel like eating something with gata, i chose the Plain Noodle Soup w/ Hong Kong Egg Noodles, Mozzarella Cheese Ball, Lobster Ball, Crab Claw and Seafood Bun. Soup was tasty, not too salty. Noodles cooked just right. The Lobster Ball and the rest of the fillings tasted pretty much the sane. I loved the Mozzarella Cheese Ball! One order is pretty heavy and filling. They gave extra bowls where we transferred our soup to cool. The serving bowl kept our food warm throughout the meal. Condiments like soy sauce and chili garlic were available as well. Our side order of Pork Shrimp Siomai wss good too.I would probably go back if hubby was craving for soup and i'd get rice or dimsum for me.*indoor area fits a tight 16pax**since the place is small, you will hear the conversations of everyone***they display a few pieces of each item only and if you're lucky they still have more in the kitchen. A few things ran out that night.

A DIY noodle House!!! :)) I first tried their Laksa soup at Marikina's branch and It's so delicious. I like how the coconut milk compliments the soup base..It's so creamy. As I Said I will go back there again to eat that soup.. One time I found out that there's a newly opened noodle house near to us.. and viola!! it's mogu tree.. Again I try their laksa and my friend try their Plain noodle soup. For the first timer, you will choose the noodle first and choose if you want 2 toppings which is 4 pcs, and 3 toppings for 6pcs and they will ask you what broth do you want if its laksa or plain. There's a lot of toppings to choose from, but my favorite is the buns, the round ones with colors..and the mozarella cheese ball.. The branch in antipolo is quite small, but furnitures are new unlike in marikina. Two thumbs up for their noodle soup!! :)

So happy to dine in another branch of Mogu Tree. I have previously dined at their Marikina Branch in Lilac. Their Antipolo Branch has a more pleasant ambiance and pretty good service as well. We ordered laksa with lobster ball, gindara tofu, etc. It was pretty filling because 1 order was good for 2 people. We also ordered claypot rice of pork asado. It took some time before it was served, but we were very satisfied with the taste. For the price, the food they serve is definitely worth it. If ever I will be near their location, I will definitely be back.
